A lot of people dodged him and he won his last 2 fights being an old 35.

No shame in that IMO. Canelo is a monster man. To beat him like he did last night is so small feat. He was eating some crazy uppercuts and kept charging.

Next fight has to be in May at the latest or he will lose because he is definitely slipping.

an old 35? He's a young 35, he has no wars and doesn't look like he's slowed down any - because he isn't vanquishing guys with KOs like he was previously isn't because he's slowed down. He's actually facing top guys now.

@saysumthinfunnymike again not saying he dodged anyone , although there was an excuse for not taking the fight for Ward at a 50/50 purse split lol, his promoters wanted more split to fight Ward, which is crazy. GGG went on to fight Lemi at the end of the day GGG has not moved up or down to fight anyone

As for the rematch if it happens I think GGG will have an easier time if he doesn't slip anymore.Im getting Ward-Kovalev vibes from this .I said after the first fight that Kov had no shot because Ward was in here there with him and took his best shot and realized he could manage it.From that point on Ward was the boss.

In this fight GGG respected Canelo's power for far too long which contributed to that slow start.GGG literally ate Canelo shots like a scooby snacks and realized dude couldn't hurt him and turnt up in the middle rounds. In the rematch no way he starts off that cautious again.

You could say that same line of thinking would be true also for Canelo but the thing is that his biggest issue from this fight is something he'll never be able to fix,his stamina.

As for this fight itself I had GGG 7-5. Anywhere between 8-4 and 6-6 (Absolute best Nelo could do)would've been decent scores. But there is no way in hell you can give Canelo 7 rounds.Let alone 10 like Byrd

I agree 100% with this entire post

I can accept a draw. But someone anyone come in here and tell me how the fukk canelo won 10 rounds. I dare you.

Based on this judge either being brain dead or paid off, the whole decision is trash to me. Even if they end result is a draw still. All the judges should be honest and one bad apples spoils the bunch imo.

He looks slower to me and is missing wild hooks more than he ever has. This fight was even more apparent than against Jacobs.

your stars are but dust on my shoes
Man Mexicans really don't like Canelo.:mjlol:

I'm in LA for the weekend (birthday was yesterday :blessed:) and my boys family had a party for the fight. I was damn near the only one rooting for Canelo in a house full of Mexicans.:russ:

shout out to tequila for making my stomach feel like I took a gang of jabs last night.

lmfao - you have an opinion i'll respect it but cmon

CAnelo only had a couple clean counter punches? Bro, he was landing counters cleanly - i have no idea what GGG chin is made of or if he just hides the pain really well. Or the fact that Canelo didn't stay on top of him after the counters because GGG should have been out of there

A couple as in a minimum amount. Majority of them shots didn't land 100% clean. Some did but it was waaaay less than what people was anticipating.

Why would Canelo stay on top of GGG after the counters if GGG wasn't hurt or visibly shaken. You dnt go for the kill if your opponent isn't hurt. That's asking to get knocked out.

Shoutout to GGG for getting the opportunity to get that big boy PPV check twice:salute:.

From a financial standpoint there isn't a bigger check to get than a Canelo payday in the game right now. I figure GGG is going to win the rematch but if he doesn't atleast he didn't limp to the finish line like Sergio and who ended up basically handing his belt over to Cotto for a decent payday in the end.

Sergio didn't have to go out like that man. He could've just retired at the top :mjcry:
