yet you got these keyboard tough guys in this forum that think they know boxing and canelo won lol

all the pros and ppl ringside nkow wasup

hell even canelo knew. right after the bell sounded boy walked to his corner sad as shyt
only trolls co-signing this shyt, folks who trying to fish for daps and act like they understand boxing.
Some of these idiots trying to compare what Canelo did this fight to Floyd, SMH.
Floyd dominates late and negates offense and makes a fighter pay, at no time did Canelo make GGG pay, nor take over the fight.
Canelo was fighting for survival, fighting to keep GGG off of him and grab a breath or stop the pressure, not strategically changing the pace like a Floyd or Bhop.

yea, the huge diff is floyd avoided almost everything canelo threw

whereas in this fight, although canelo avoided alotta big bombs, he got jabbed to death all fight. the jab of ggg controlled the pace, distance ,and control of the fight. clean power jabs landed at will for GGG from round 4 on. they nullified much of canelos gameplan.

floyd will never get out jabbed or controlled in any fight.

fact is, ggg controlled canelo and had him on the ropes from round 4 on.

A couple as in a minimum amount. Majority of them shots didn't land 100% clean. Some did but it was waaaay less than what people was anticipating.

Why would Canelo stay on top of GGG after the counters if GGG wasn't hurt or visibly shaken. You dnt go for the kill if your opponent isn't hurt. That's asking to get knocked out.

because he allowed GGG to reset and stalk him down. I'm not gonna act like I've been in the ring but a few times I felt Canelo could have followed up and see if GGG was hurt. No one knows if GGG as hurt because he acts like a zombie, but some of those shots stopped him in his tracks

People crying robbery are just jumping on the bandwagon. Canelo swept the first 3 rounds then came back strong to close it out. And there were a few rounds where one guy would win half the round then the other guy would win the 2nd half. That's just how it was. Little g definitely didn't show any type of boxing greatness today. He was pretty much only successful when canelo would exhaust himself. And even when he had canelo against the ropes and canelo had no energy he was missing 80% of the punches. Little g was coming forward but his fans don't wanna admit canelo had him hesitant as fukk throughout the fight. Even when he had canelo trapped he would barely throw cause he was fearful of the counter shots. Just look at both of their faces. Canelo easily landed the harder and more effective shots. He was rattling little g's whole body in the first few rounds and backing him down. But once his endurance gave out, little g gained confidence and just kept coming.

But even though canelo was exhausted out of his mind, little g still barely managed to land many flush punches and could never hurt canelo. For a guy who's supposedly knocking out heavyweights in sparring, that's inexcusable. Canelo had no energy left. If you're truly a great fighter and a monster puncher you have to at least put him down. You can't let a guy who was running on empty for 8 rounds manage to steal off 30 punch combos on you with no response. If canelo fixes the stamina problem, he will wipe him out clean in the rematch. When they were actually toe to toe in the middle of the ring, canelo was schooling him like we'd never seen anybody do. props to golovkin cause he's a machine, but dude was nothing special tonight. Well his chin and work rate were special. But as far as boxing ability goes, he's obviously nowhere near his fans claim. I still gained respect for him regardless cause the man is a warrior. But I think people are focused on the 118-110 scorecard when the truth is neither of these guys clearly won this fight tonight. A draw was more than fair.

Bruh, canelo is a top pound for pound fighter.

U saying ggg is nothing special, but he just "beat" a top fighter, the lineal mw champ, and a hell of a fighter.

Ggg fought a cautious fight, against an elite guy.

Can't be knocking everyone out.

They clearly two of the top in the sport.

I do feel that canelo won't be able to have big success at mw after watching this tho.

i guess im gonna have to rewatch this one objectively. i'm starting to feel like since GGG is supposed to be a powerhouse, he shoulda put him down in the latter rounds :patrice:

maybe those shots i thought were clean weren't

Ggg didn't land any bombs clean. Canelo has super slick defense.

Ggg's most effective shot was his jab. He landed that constantly and at will.

This fight actually was similar to how ggg fought Jacobs. Very cautious and leading with the jab, without over exposing himself with power shots.

btw however it is, Canelo proved how tough and resilient he is
he was tired as a mfer but never went down, I'd say he was never even visibly hurt. First Golovkin opponent who didn't taste the mat since 2008 :wow: Both fighters met something they never met before, in that sense the fight absolutely lived up to the expectations. Until the rematch Jacobs, Charlo, Derevyanchenko or Andrade gonna emerge as the new challenger of the winner imo...

nikkas still crying just accept that draw and move on :umad:

You should be angry that you were talking about GGG stopping Canelo only for Canelo to eat the shots he threw at him :mjlol:
Be angry at the fact that the fight went exactly how people here said it would for GGG where his only consistent shot would be the jab :mjlol:

I love this new heel turn Canelo :russ: . Rematch in May? :tupac: You're gonna have to wait another year to get baptized :tupac:
