If Drake wrote 75% of his raps, would you give him a pass?

Guy has made a lot of "hit" songs whether we like all the songs or not.

If we found out he wrote 75% of his rap songs (not talking about his singing tracks), 25% ghostwritten, would he be anywhere in your top all-time list?

Nah he’s definitely no longer in the GOAT talks.

He’s a popstar who’s only in the sales, streams talks. Great ear for beats, ghostwriters, delivery, execution etc.

The pen holds the most weight when we talking GOAT rappers and unfortunately his pen credibility has been severely compromised

If you're a well adjusted adult who isn't vicariously living through Kendrick or Pusha T, who gives a fukk?

Give him a pass for what?

He's been making great music for over a decade.

If he doesn't write then I can't put him as a GOAT in the rap list ahead of nikkas who write their raps but he still that guy. And there's much more to life than some dusty top 10 rap list

as far as hip hop? nikka please :mjlol:

as far as overall artists? ehhhh he'd be somewhere up there....like way up there lol - i do look at him like a male beyonce of his generation tho just less impactful

Probably more an instance of him not writing stuff plus being given songs to chart. Let's not forget all the shyt he's sharked, so "creating" hits probably isn't something you can completely credit to him either.

The Drake act has too many support systems and what we do know is that he does far less than expected.
