Chad Ochocinco reportedly had trouble with routes - NFL.com

Coaches would instruct Ochocinco on how to run a route, only to have him forget minutes later.

Although that "multiple sources" part seems sketchy.

For what it's worth though, Carson Palmer was horrible on the Bengals and Chad was falsely blamed of course. Which it can even be said, plenty white WB's in e league get called out for making dumb decisions plenty of times.

so whats his excuse then for not performing?, you don't know how a player will fit in a new system until he plays in it. what did branch do when he left the Pats? Welker wasn't shyt before he was catching passes from Brady. Gaffney been good everywhere he's played. every player is different some systems fit them some doesn't. it doesn't make chad dumb because he didn't get it.

He's a bum. Never said he'd dumb, in fact that's one of the excuses I'm calling BS on.Plenty of receivers have come from college and other systems and not struggled as mightily as Chad. And Welker was an Ok receiver in Miami....that's how he caught beli's eye

and he's not the first veteran to struggle with picking up an offense either.

We see RT's struggle with the move to LT all the time, and nobody throws out the "dumb" tag.

4-3 DE's struggle with playing 3-4 OLB, and that doesn't make them dumb does it?

Man fukk changing positions....Chad was asked to play the position he's played his whole career. Name another WR that that struggled changing teams like chad

^^^White Boy Post^^^^
'
The media has been insulting the black man's intelligence for years. "They" say he can't get the playbook but offer no examples. If you're gonna call someone stupid, you must offer examples as to why. That's a serious accusation.

The same was said about Moon & Cunningham as well.

You cannot be a standout in the NFL and not know football.

Doesn't work like that. They said Moss was a buffoon too but Bell said he's the smartest WR he's ever coached if that means anything.

Bottom line its all media propaganda. White folks would rather you think that negroes just roll out of bed and excel in athletics due to animalistic genes and instincts as opposed to hard work and intelligence

Bill Parcell's said it best when he said that football is easy and most people make it more than what it is for their own ego.

Only made it to this idiotic post(POST #2)...

Chad came from a numbered base O(Which Chad had problems with). To a Option based O. Which I am sure your fukking dumb ass will break down, on a black/white axis?

Yeah Yeah. That's credible right there. A reality tv show that's heavily edited. You learn how to learn up in Pop Warner. But I forget Chad is a dumb nikka and nikkas lose brain cells faster than everybody else.

Not that simple but you get what I'm saying

Says who? how do you know? and how is this measured?

Says the fact that everyone has always raved about Moss' football IQ from Minnesota, to Oakland to New England to San Fran.

To the fact that one of the 5 greatest quarterbacks of all time co-sign Moss as being brilliant. Such accolades he never gave to Chad.

Chad didn't have an offseason last year, sure. This year he was still fukking up and Deion Branch was having to tell him where to go.

The fact is this, Chad Johnson spent a decade in one system and after that decade he was forced to learn something completely different and he had to ignore instincts and everything else. All that Welker wasn't shyt in MIA stuff is not true because he was putting up decent numbers but never had a Brady type of QB. He was progressively getting better every year.

But how is that relevant to Chad?

All this talk about a white player being criticized that way is pointless because most dominant wide receivers are black. So who exactly are we supposed to be talking about? Plenty of whtie QBs get criticized for being trashed, Kurt Warner has been getting at Kolb all summer. This is just a case of guys coming to the argument with pre-made talking points and attaching them to anything that is tangentially related. You all have agendas and won't admit it. This isn't the right fight.

So they edited his ass asking where he should be on the field, numerous times? They edited the QBs watching film and asking WTF he is doing out there?

They brought him in to be the vet and school the young guys, and he is the one out there who is lost. No excuse for that at all. How does the rookie qb know your position better than you do?

Expound on this number based O you speak of. That's a very ambiguous statement.

Did Cincy run a "numbers based O?" If so, is this the same offense he was a 6 time pro bowler in? But yet, he had problems with it. Not sure of what you're saying, so make yourself clear pleighboy....:birdman:

If you take reality shows at face value, then God help you. There is nothing I can do. Unless you're 19 and under, you should understand the concept of context, and thru editing, a lot of things can be made to appear a certain way but is totally the opposite in reality

Yeah, the producers of Hard Knocks told Chad to line up wrong numerous times so they could get it on film. Bruh, this isnt Jersey Shore where there is a script and a plot the characters act out.

Are you denying that he was lining up wrong and running the wrong routes or are you saying he should get a pass on it?

White QBs get trashed, after they get their money. Kolb got a big contract off 9 games. Flynn got a nice deal off 58 minutes. No other position can get it like that, especially not a black QB. Its not an agenda, its just real life staring you in the face. Just calling it like I see it. Your response was great.

A number based O, is route XZY in numbered. The WR only runs that one route(Bengals). In a Option based O. The WR has up to 5 different routes based off what the D is giving them(Pats). And the WR has to read the D at the line, and pick his route and be in sync with the QB.

In the option O the WR has to read the D and adjust, along with the QB. In the Numbered O, it is that number(One route) regardless of what the D is showing. The QB has to hope he gets separation, if not hope to god he can find him after the play breaks down..

I am a little drunk, so sorry if I am not explain this well.

Let me school you to something. Ratings make television pop, which in turn means dollars.

No business man in that industry will leave this up to "chance" when he knows that he can influence certain instances in the show, that would evoke a response from viewers that benefits him monetarily.

That's like saying that college football is a free and true competition sport with no outside influence that embodies the true nature of competition
