The majority of people out here have some form of trauma, pstd including posters on this site, so it’s hilarious that it’s a turnoff considering women could say the exact same thing :mjlol:

If you insist otherwise, look at alot of the threads and comments made about women on this site and tell me that there isn’t some form of trauma or ptsd going on.

Before I became a dentist I used to work these crazy late shift odd jobs. One of those jobs was a front desk clerk at an urgent care clinic.

I worked with this older lady who had a daughter and she was pretty as hell. But she was in a really fukked up relationship. Dude cheated on her, talked down to her, had other hoes living with him will they were together. He once beat her so bad, she was in the hospital for weeks.

She eventually smartened up and cut him loose.

So the lady that I worked with decides it would be a good idea to match us. The woman I'm with, who will eventually be my wife, we were just dating. Nothing serious yet.

I decide to take this woman's daughter out and it was one of the worst dates I'd ever been on. I don't do dinner and movie first dates. I like to do fun stuff. We went paintballing and axe throwing. Just having fun. Slim talked about her ex the entire time and it was all negative. When I dropped her if at her mom's house, I walk her to the door and she gives me this big hug and just starts crying on my chest. She apologized and told me that she went out with every intention of having fun but she's dealing with a lot of shyt from her past relationship. I told her everything was cool and to take care of herself.

I get to work Monday night and the older lady comes straight to me and apologized and thanked me for treating her daughter like a person and not a possession.

I'm still cool with the family. The girl's birthday was just this Tuesday. Me and my wife sent her an edible arrangement.

But if you dealing with a person that has baggage to the point where it effects them socially as a whole, you need to ask yourself if it's worth it.

Most definitely. Unless you have extreme amounts of patience and endurance. In my experience it means she's looking for someone who can carry her weight so she doesn't have to :francis:

I'll never go through that shyt again.

Trauma is like an identity for some people, not something that should be overcome .

I came in here to say exactly this. And if and when a woman does say that, it's a woe is me party of men need safe spaces, men don't have anyone to be vulnerable with, men's mental health matters too etc. It's so wild to me how people constantly want what they're not willing to give
