If they kept bond as it was originally in the books, that would be fair enough and if that was what was going on I would support it,because Iam a bit anal like that , apparently in the books,he was a slim white male with dark hair and several facial scars. I hardly think light haired muscular minus bodyhair daniel craig ,with no facial scars is keeping to the book,or ex amateur bodybuilder scottish sean connery .So it means they have already not followed the authors descriptions of what bond looked like . Idris is actually 'more english' than several of the other bonds if you look at his background. Born in hackney or something wasn't he?

I think we all know what moore really meant, and it's a pity as I always prefered moore as bond to any of the others.

Just read the BBC article and Moore is saying that it was an interview with a French magazine, and Moore said even though there have been Scottish and Welsh bonds (British bonds,) he thinks that bond should be English-English.

Then the French paper made a headline sounding as if he was talking about Idris Elba, when he wasn't even mentioned in the interview and Moore wasn't talking about him.
