How doesn't it make sense? Israel doesn't want a two state solution, at all. Palestinians won't be satisfied with these meager pieces of land especially when Israelis continue to build illegal settlements on that land. I don't even know why you're saying it must be tried as if it hasn't been tried for years. It only proves my point that Zionism is irreconcilable with Palestinian nationalism, those contradictions won't be done away with in the name of peace because they alienate the core points of their individual causes.
