Like dude said.. Israel would have much more to lose by disarming. That proposal is a joke. Hamas is a desperate ass organization and their every move is calculated and aimed towards Israel's destruction.

The whole skirmish is just a set up. You know that, right? Hamas knows they cant damage Israel directly (as of now), but they can damage their credibility.

First of all that's not an official demand, it was more like an off the cuff remark about Israel's desire to disarm Hamas by one of its spokesmen. Breh, if this was a set up Israel has yet to prove anyone from Hamas kidnapped those 3 teens which is the very event that began this latest flare up in violence. Why shouldn't Israel consider ending the blockade/siege? Wouldn't Israel be much more justified if they showed some mercy and humanity and Hamas still went on to practice violence?

shyt is ridiculous how reactions are more focused on instead of causes. How does a violent ideology manifest with regards to this situation? The actual demands aren't unreasonable and should provide a lasting peace. Unless Israel doesn't want lasting peace....

I respect what youre saying but keep in mind that Israel has become a fear based political state. It's hard to be the bigger man and show civility when you're landlocked by your enemies. Israel isnt in a position to take chances, especially without a long term solution in sight.

How do we benefit from our relationship with Israel? It seems very one sided. We give them 4 billion a year in money that is forgiven, not paid back. I just....don't see how it causes anything but trouble for you.

The problem is talking to people like yourself is that you create a narrative to fit the effect and not the cause. How did Hitler get into power? Who financed him?
