Since yall mentioned it, I've been doing research on the best lottery picks by the same team. Obviously it's a rarity for a squad to get 2 lottery picks in the same draft.

But the best I found were 1993 Pistons (Grant Hill and Lindsey Hunter), 2006 Portland (LaMarcus Aldridge and Brandon Roy), 2007 Sonics (KD and Jeff Green), and the aforementioned Kyrie Irving and Tristan Thompson.

I'd say Kyrie and Tristan was the best just because they were key pieces on a championship squad. LMA and BRoy might've been something had the injuries not derailed Roy's career

Trae young would put people in seats I guess. He’s very easy to market and does have superstar potential but I still want mpj.

Having watched almost no college ball I know nothing about Bagley. Does this guy have mobility on the perimeter? Can he play without his back to the basket?

He can shoot the three and he doesn't have a true back to the basket game but he finds way to put the ball thru the hoop with his athleticism. He reminds me a lot of Anthony Davis on offense.

I’m going Bamba brehs.

1. This will probably be the highest we pick during this rebuild so we might as well swing for the fences. Bagley could be a perineal all-star, but Bamba could change the game altogether.

2. I think Bagley will only impact the game as much as his stats say he does. Not saying they’ll be empty, but I don’t see him drawing so much attention he gets teammates open shots consistently, making hockey assists, affecting shots regularly, etc. Meanwhile, Bamba will effect every shot a team takes simply by being on the court, which takes me to....

3. Coach Pierce is already on record saying defense will be this team’s calling card. Bagley should be at the least an adequate defender, but Bamba could be a generational defensive talent.

4. Breh who said Bagley and Collins would be redundant was right. I definitely think they could play together, but both would benefit from not being the biggest big man on the court. Collins reminds me of Horford in that he shouldn’t be a center, no matter how good he plays the position. Collins and Bamba could provide the defense, rebounding, and rim protection that we would need to contend for a title. They could both average 15 a piece just off rim runs/oops/putbacks too. We would still need consistent perimeter scoring, but that’s what the wings are for.

5. The only PFs who have been the #1 option on a team that got to the finals in the last 30 years are Barkley, Malone, Duncan, and Dirk, with Kemp, Rasheed Wallace, KG, and Gasol being the only #2s off the top of my head. If I’m missing somebody, let me know. The NBA is evolving but building around a 4 has not shown to result in championships historically and I’m not sold on Bagley being the one to break that trend.

I’m good with Bagley or even Porter at 3, but I’m goin with the nikka with 8 foot arms

Pretty convincing I might leaning Bamba then because he does mix well with Collins. My question is what do we do with Dedmond? Do we keep him to groom Bamba or do we package him with a pick or Schroeder and try to get another pick?

Bamba actually makes sense because you'll have rim protection.

Now I'm lowkey worried about bag turning out to be like jalil okafor, Since @Mr Hate Coffee brought it to my attention
Bagley worse case scenario is a disciplined josh smith imo. Best case super athletic bosh.

Only thing okafor and him got in common is they went to duke
