Ok but most of his streaming comes from his catalogue from previous. I’m talking what he’s dropped recently. Like this nikka is now testing the waters before he drops music now by doing little snippets and not putting his music on streaming platforms until he gets the reception he wants. He wasn’t doing none of that shyt before the battle.

No Face, House Keeping and Circadium rhythm would have been hits if it wasn’t for the battle.

Come on bro

Drake has leaked music damn near every year since thank me later.

Them joints weren’t even official releases and released through a website first.

Drake and the ball brother are the hottest hip hop topics right now from a leaked freestyle and leaked song lol

Dude will be fine just like Jay has been

Nas stans just cant get over the fact nothing happened after his win.

Nas career went to shyt

While

Jay reached even higher heights. Not to mention siging him

Nas stans keep his career stuck pre 2002.

:russ: Nas and Jay are the two goats to me but you really have no middle ground

There’s no way you really believe this

I don't know how these cats think this works

There are still people checking for Drake and he has fifteen years of nostalgia in his side. Not to mention them hating boosts his reach as well

Ok but people are hating on the freestyle and only his Stan’s are hyping that shyt up. I’m a Drake guy and that freestyle to me wasn’t a good look or a good move. Yea people are talking about it but it’s not doing shyt in hip hop.

i believe that one rapper won the beef, per Hot 97, and had a huge 2002, while the other one cried on the radio and went on to drop blueprint 2 :mjlol:

there's a reason we say someone got "ethered", and not "took over" :sas1:
I hate this misconception. That big vote that everybody points to was pitting Ether against Super Ugly. It wasn't saying who won the beef or Takeover versus Ether. To me Ether and Takeover were close but Jay really lost the beef the same way Drake did. He moved sloppy. Super Ugly could've been sick if they dropped it over a better beat and actually mastered it and treated it like a real song. Then he dropped that People Talking track and a couple freestyles going at Nas. And of course that Hot 97 interview that closed the casket. Nas got Jay acting completely out of character, thirsty, and desperate after Ether which lets you know Nas touched a nerve.

BUT let's not act like he didn't have Nas spiraling too. He had Nas trying to hang a Jay-Z doll at Summer Jam, going on a huge rant against radio stations and other artists like Nelly, Nore, and Cam'ron. Nas was throwing disses at him on a bunch of features. They both had the others rattled but Nas' wasn't looked at as seriously due to the perception that he was winning the beef.

Only “his Stan’s” that’s not true and there’s no way to show that.

shyt Micky Factz was clowning Drake hard during the beef and even said this

Idk I don’t feel like you’re being objective here so I got nothing else to say.

The reason those were compared is because timeline wise those were the songs that lined up. Takeover was a response to Stillmatic freestyle

In NO way was Nas ever spiraling during the battle which is part of the reason why he ultimately won. The Hot 97 incident he was angry about because Hot 97 pulled a political move and wouldn’t let him perform the show HIS way at the last minute. Even when he went up to Power 105 he was very clear why he was angry and very confident in the fact that he’d won despite Jay pulling behind the scenes moves. He called out the hypocrisy of Hot 97 supporting Jay-Z and not being fair and told the world that he har their entire crew scattered like roaches.

You can’t rewrite history. We’ve got all the receipts that say that not only did Jay lose handily, his entire crew admitted it. Dame Dash, Biggs, Beanie Sigel, and Memphis Bleek are all record saying that Jay lost and was under pressure.
