Nas on the other hand waited for 3 months to drop Ether. 3 months of media, fans and even other rappers shytting on him and saying Nas's career is over. He wasn't insecure like Jay.

He took a break because to show fans they would miss him when he was gone. He turned out to be wrong just because of how the south took over. But people were glad to see him make a return.


Takeover is the better song. Nas had the Rocky Balboa effect going for him,much like Kendrick. A tie will be an L for the champ. If Jay never dropped that weak response its a different story. But Ether shouldnt be compared to SuperUgly. Nas shouldve had to respond,because he couldve easily dropped a dud too. I certainly dont think he had another one in him. Jay was a little too eager and took an L strategically speaking. But damn all that,what about the actual diss records?

You can’t rewrite history. We’ve got all the receipts that say that not only did Jay lose handily, his entire crew admitted it. Dame Dash, Biggs, Beanie Sigel, and Memphis Bleek are all record saying that Jay lost and was under pressure.

When have we ever seen Nas wilding like that? Jay had Nas acting out of character too. Nas was always the super cool type that avoided drama and beef and media in general. Nas was definitely crashing out. Going after Nelly, Cam, Nore, Nature, Cormega, and Prodigy at that time. Joining up with Murda Inc and all that. Only reason it ain't looked at the same is cause he won.
