Okay, but say you want to compare the discrimination that pedophiles or zoophiles face to the discrimination homosexuals face.

You'll have a bunch of people saying "Homosexuality and beastiality/pedophilia are not comparable" and they'll start talking about consent and perversion etc.

But if comparing the criticisms both groups receive is NOT the same as comparing the groups, what's wrong with comparing the criticism homosexuals receive to the criticism other people receive who have sexual feelings outside the realm of normality?

Regardless of the difference, homosexuality seems to me to be more comparable to taboo sexual acts as opposed to skin color. :manny:

This thread is about flamboyant gay folks tho, not your low-key, about their business gay folks. And in those cases, the flamboyant ones choose to make a spectacle of themselves and fairly/unfairly invite whatever hatred that comes their way.

Black people on the other hand cannot choose their skin pigmentation and the hate they receive because of it.

This is why this comparison is silly and insulting.
Sorry, but this isn't just about "flamboyant" gays or whatever. It's about gays in general. This is just like when they say "We're not talking about ALL Black people, only the ghetto ones."

You know damn well people who say that sh!t are talking about Black people in general.

I don't think it's right to judge someone by their outward appearance. So yes I can compare being discriminated against simply because of my color to a flamboyantly gay man being discriminated against because he dresses like a woman or whatever.

That's COMPLETELY different than comparing Civil rights with Gay rights.

The problem with this is, the "judgment" can't even be compared. When a person judges a gay person by appearance. They may assume that person likes it in the ass or is "soft" or "annoying" at worst they may assume the gay person is attracted to them.

When a black person is judged by appearance, the assumption is that he is an inferior human being.

They are two very differnt types of judgement and descrimination.

Are people who are into beastiality born that way?

Is there a beastiality gene?

I've answered your question. I notice you've avoided addressing any of the actual argument though. :patrice:

:troll:

You didn't answer my question. You deflected and came up with some other shyt.

Why choose the black experience out of all the instances of bigotry? It's not "because it applies" because there are plenty of examples that apply. So why use this one?

And what is the "actual argument" that I avoided?

Child molesters are also maligned as well. You try to perverse the course of nature you deserve whatever you get.

Black people are born black. There is no such thing as a gay gene.

Child molestation is not a victimless act. Do we really need to play this ridiculous game guy?

So, the only criteria for bigotry is that a person be born a certain way? Otherwise, anything goes?

You're agreeing with me and then disagreeing with an argument that I did not make. It is not disrespectful to compare the justifications used by bigots while promoting bigotry, especially when the language and logic are completely alike. We are not arguing institutional racism, systemic discrimination, or anything else. Again, there is no American parallel to the black experience when it comes to those issues.

I'm not arguing whether blacks have been put through more hell, I'm arguing that individuals who unjustifiably dislike black folks and black culture, use the same phrases as those who unjustifiably dislike homosexual behavior and culture.

I see what you're doing here and it is inconsistent. In my context, bigoted language is just that. You are not absolved from being a bigot because you believe that being gay is unnatural (or insert other belief here). Again, we are not discussing institutional discrimination, we are discussing language and how we identify the unique and harmless behavior of certain individuals within a collective to be indicative of the collective itself, or unworthy of acceptance in society.

And that, is the exact same nonsense white bigots have used since it became unfashionable to use the word ******.

:youngsabo:

Address your question and more. Light work. :ehh:

"Thas ridiculous. All to be on worldstarhiphop probably fukin ******s...I mean its hard sticking up for y'all when you guys do things like this...smh"

"Chimps gonna chimp."

"I am in no way racist but I strongly believe that the African American community needs to start policing themselves to reduce this type of bahaviour. It is these types of individuals who give hard working, honest black Americans a bad reputation. You will never eliminate a negative stereotype until you have nothing negative to base that stereotype on. There are far to may instances of this type of behaviour with African Americans."

I don't.

But I know that many people look at me and can't tell the difference between me and say... Chief Keef. That's how racism/homophobia/bigotry works.

You demonize a group. Dehumanize them. Then lump em all together without regard for their individual humanity.

If you're Black and homophobic then shame on you. You deserve the worst of what society has to offer.
