I was on A HBCU college campus today and got a good understanding why everything is different now...

HBCUs aren't poppin like you might think. A lot of them have strict rules that prevent a lot of partying, drinking, etc. If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't have went to an HBCU....the quality of education (facilities, research opportunities, alumni network) isn't as high as it should be and the social scene is pretty .

those strict rules are just for show, and to give some type of public display to the rest of america that "nikkas/hoes/hoodrats do not attend our institution"

The sheer amounts of fukkery that happens at the CIAA tournament,Howard Homecoming and Texas Relays leads me to not be able to c/s this.

The feminization of black men is in full effect. I can never get used to this. Well, anyway, I try not to pay too much attention to it and I simply don't associate myself with people who dress like this.

If that were the case then there would be a wide variety of different styles out there. It really does seem like everyone is dressed the same while adhering to a fashion trend which involves recycled ideas from the 60s/80s (hippies, bright colors, tight pants, etc.)

Back in my high school/college days I heard the brothas and sistas used to dress up to go to class at some of the HBCUs. I'm talking suits, ties for brothas and business suits, skirts, heels for sistas. What happened with that?

It's different than back in the day. There is an all out assault on black masculinity. Peep this:

Kids from teens through early 20s (and sometime older ) have always dressed and mimicked the trends set by the rap & r&b artists of the day. The current crop of famous people are displaying a lack of masculinity, and pushing the current day homosexual acceptance. The feminization of black culture is in full force. Look at rap & r&b artists in 1990 vs. in 2013

At some point, it became unacceptable to say the word fakkit or disassociate with homosexuality. Nowadays, campus administrators are catering more and more to females and "safe" (gay/unmasculine) black boys. The thinking is, traditional, type-a, masculine, heterosexual black men are only going to college to play sports, chase women, and eventually drop out.

HBCUs heavily rely on federal funding, and research money from large corporations. HBCUs are basically doing what is going to help them look good to corporate America, and their donors.

I've seen and heard of instances of professors and advisors giving these traditional black boys a harder time than their softer counterparts, and girls.
