. The biggest problem facing us as a people is self esteem. .
Go to an HBCU, fukk all PWIs. Don't give the white man your loot, nor should you want to be around that filth. I want to see the day when an HBCU wins the NCAA National Championship. fukk cac schools, let em rot.

I remember college campus being spots where you could tell where nikkas were from by how they were dressed.............dc, ny, bmore, philly.........when HBCU campus's still had an edge to them..............not anymore tho..........nikkas all looked the same........and the place looked like a candyland
Exactly. What happens at PWI's is you have a "country club" atmosphere of black folks who are in the greeks, BSA etc. The "cool" kids so to speak. If you ain't in that space ..You that weird negro with no black friends. This is why HBCU's are needed. That "weird" negro will be able to hang with other loner type blacks and feel comfortable and included in a predominantly black world. That self esteem manifests itself in other aspects of ones life.
i was gonna say you shoulda went to college in NYC because there is minimal here in pgh. but im like you i cant see myself at an HBCU. i enjoy being able to be around black white indian whenever i want. i think my group of friends is made up of someone from some different ethnicity if that is not a learning experience idk what is?That was me when for the majority of my college career. But to be completely honest, I had no friends from the school I went to (PITT) cause I was already significantly older than the majority of the student body. All my friends were people from outside of college. Personally, I just wasn't feeling people at Pitt. It just seemed that everybody there was about sports and drinking, where I was about skateboarding (been doing it for 20+ years), art, fashion, and being creative.
Looking back I had fun at Pitt, but I wish I could of just attended college in NYC like I wanted to. I just couldn't see myself at an HBCU.

its changing, cuz i've come across a few young black dudes from different areas that just sound like white dudes who skate.Regional characteristics are vanishing because of the internet, you have people from all over using the same slang and dressing exactly the same. The only difference will be accents, and I suspect even that will change soon.
I wish I went to an HBCU. I would have actually had the real college experience around people I actually want to be around.
