Yall forgetting that Linda was running for some high position (forgot what it was), so they had to cut down on the offensive shyt. Plus they dipped into so many sponsors, changing back to the offensive/attitude era ish would just fukk up with them. Only way to fix it is to have a massive overhaul, but thats risky when they are already struggling.

i think we are all perfectly fine suspending disbelief. but you need to give us a reason.

game of thrones is fake and that show got millions of marks across all demographics. they've created more babyface superstars and heel monsters in the span of 4 seasons than the WWE has in the last 10 years. people from that show blowin up left and right because so many people love them on game of thrones and identify with their characters.

i don't care if you know it's fake, when you see a dude like brock leanar on tv you know you are watchin a bad dude. you BELIVE he could go out there and tear a dude's head off. watchin him in action is fukkin BRUTAL.

you wanna know why it used to be so popular then? because it used to be the whole ROSTER was full of dudes like that. fukkin juiced out roidheads and 400 pound bohemoths, dudes you thought in real life could fukk nikkas up. and they all talked shyt. and when they got mad their fukkin veins would start bulgin. and when they looked into the camera they looked like they wanted to fukkin kill you.

dudes that could pull you in and make you believe in them. when austin said he was the toughest sumbytch in the WWF you believed it and you couldn't wait to see him go out there and whoop someone's ass.

you watch the show today and it is nothing but guys playing generic, boring characters. no depth, no distinction, no PASSION. everything is so carefully micromanaged and overseen that the humanity has been completely sucked out. hence why only the hardcore fans stick around because when new ppl tune in it does nothing to draw them in and make them want more. low quality, low grade, chemically manufactured garbage.

The last time I was legit shocked at something they did was the Nexus angle. Letting those eight green guys run roughshod over the whole roster was completely different and new to the WWE and pro wrestling in general. They ran into the problem of vets getting hurt egos and it completely destroyed the idea. That plus the release of Daniel Bryan was one of the dumbest things in history.

I agree that the micromanaging is damn ridiculous. Not letting guys sink or swim has definitely hampered the product. Trying to manufacture the fans reactions for EVERY match is tiring.

I do think comparing the WWE to GoT or any television show is unfair. GoT is allowed to do so much more than the WWE, and that is partially the WWE's fault for trying to serve so many sponsors.

It seems so hard to make this mainstream. Hell, most combat sports are having a tough time. The UFC is exposing themselves too by doing so many shows. Boxing is depending on one fight past it's prime.

there's definitely room for comparison imo. both shows feature an ensemble cast and both take place in a fictional setting where the narratives for each character are all loosely intertwined. characters even move up and down in terms of importance as it pertains to their current situation or "feud" on the program. there are heroes, there are villains, and they all got beef. face turns, heel turns, alliances, betrayals...it's all there.

One product is 60 minutes 10 times a year while the other is 2x per week between 2-3 hours . It's probably a better idea to compare the WWE to network TV soap operas, which are dead.

you are so on with that.

but could u imagine the backlash?

"why he gotta be a black kid"
"why it gotta be a basketball"
"this is racist"

deep down you know there's the chance it would happen (and it would come from black AND white ppl). shyt is disgusting.
More anger, more views, more ratings.

honestly he could probably even be a good guy. and he'd EASILY be getting the biggest pops whenever he came out compared to all the other corny ass babyface on the roster.

imagine dibiase's theme hits and this swagged out muthafukka dipped in gold and dollar signs comes out and just starts makin it rain on the entire audience. money comin down from the ceilings and shyt.

the strut, the laugh...he'd be so fukkin over. always droppin luxury brands and shyt that no one ever heard of. clownin the other wrestlers like the rappers do. show vignettes of him on exotic yachts surrounded by hunnnies and shyt.

he'd be the coolest dude on raw.

and that theme:whew:

That's a good thing though.

Yep. Didnt mean to imply otherwise.

Easily. And he'd be able to flawlessly go from face to heel and vice versa. Pay people to beat up dudes backstage or cost them wins. Have people turn on friends. Pay off guys to lose to him :whew:

If he paid a guy to beat up Bryan and injure him backstage or if he was involved in the Rumble and he paid like 7 guys to gang up on him (or all the faces) and get them out of the ring.

::whew:
