Truly unforgivable to do this with the Yankees of all teams. What exactly do they think is gonna happen when they regularly trot out a lineup with 5-7 automatic outs every night and 2-4 spots in the rotation being filled by guys who can’t pitch? Do they think we’ll keep showing up for a team in last place whose incompetent egomaniac GM never gets fired despite 25 years of failure even as he regularly throws his players and coaches under the bus? Will they finally act when the stadium becomes a ghost town, and if they don’t, will the league office finally step in? We all know they don’t want to risk another George Steinbrenner type to come in and go all out every year while routinely calling out the John fisher, Jerry reinsdorf, and Bob nutting type owners.Let’s be honest Cashman still has a job because he has a long standing relationship with the Steinbrenner family so status quo and not having someone rock the boat is preferable. Want easy working environment.
As long as he keeps them competitive enough so they make the playoffs is good enough.
No desire to get better just want to sit back and enjoy the cash flow the team makes them.
Now I think that might be coming to an end I think the fans finally caught on that this organization just wants competitive enough to get fans in the seats. Championships are not a concern.
Fans are gonna start getting nasty and tapping out. Will see how long it takes before they’re forced to make the moves they don’t want to make.
He was probably too drunk to start. This team is a circus
The incident that led to the Yankees placing pitcher Domingo German on the restricted list on Wednesday occurred at Yankee Stadium and was not a domestic situation, clubhouse sources say.
On Tuesday evening of this week, German grew belligerent while in the clubhouse at Yankee Stadium, though there is no word of an altercation with a teammate or other individuals. Witnesses determined that German was under the influence of alcohol and did not appear in control of his emotions.
Several Yankees, including GM Brian Cashman, manager Aaron Boone and ace Gerrit Cole, appeared visibly shaken when asked about German on Wednesday.
German’s behavior on Tuesday was not connected to the armpit injury that led the Yankees to scratch him from Monday’s start, then insert him into the game in the fifth inning, sources said.
