The Yankees haven’t appeared in a World Series since 2009. It’s now 2023 and they won’t be there this year either.

This is the same gap as the Yankees not appearing in the World Series from 1982-1996.

And maybe you guys are young, but it was a really miserable fukkin time to be a Yankees fan in those days.

Hard to be a fan of this organization anymore

20 years of garbage
They’ve made me jealous of the Mets, which is maybe the saddest thing you can say about them. In the past 21 years the marlins and royals have as many titles as they do and the royals have more pennants, and before anyone asks, yes I would prefer the royals 2 playoff appearances, 2 pennants, & 1 title since 2010 compared to this. They’re 32-54 in the playoffs since 2002 when not facing the twins and have a losing record vs every other team they’ve faced more than once (1-0 vs Oakland, Philadelphia, & Baltimore. 0-1 vs Texas, Miami, & Tampa) besides Cleveland so what does making the playoffs mean in the last 20 years anyway?

This is miles worse than the 80’s. Since 2010 they’ve had 1 season end without leaving a bad taste in our mouths over their refusal to go all in and back then you could win a ton without making it in. The 1985 Yankees won 97 games and missed the playoffs. 3 of their 4 title teams from 1996-2000 didn’t win that many. In fact the 1993 giants missed the playoffs with 103 wins. These guys are openly content with 82-85 wins as long as it fools the fans into paying for tickets and concessions while they sell us on 30 years of staying over the .500 mark. Also the 80’s teams scored a lot so the games were at least exciting. These guys can’t hit anyone, make all sorts of mental errors, fall behind early, stay behind, and frequently don’t play hard to the point I think they might have quit.

Dude has been coasting on white privilege and the work of Bob Watson + Gene Michael for 20+ years

Patron saint of mediocre CACs getting rewarded for being failures.

When they fired Girardi these bozos could’ve had Dusty or Ron Washington and picked Boone. Couldve scooped up Harper or Machado and struck out on both. Lost the Ohtani sweepstakes but had the nerve to lowball Judge.

Ridiculous.
