Did you even read what I wrote? I did not say new console don’t decline in non holiday quarters. I said new consoles usually don't decline during holiday quarters in comparison to the previous one especially when they recieved a price cut unless their popularity has peaked or its dying.

You posted three articles that showed playstation sales declined in a non holiday quarter. I never mentioned or argued the sales performance of consoles during non holiday quarters.

PlayStation is predicting a decline across the entire FY23.

In fact gaming across the board has been on a decline. It’s more likely than not that PlayStation will be down YoY as well just as they were from 2021 to 2022.

Because they invest in single player rpgs which have notoriously long development times. This isn't a bad thing but it is bad when none of them are close to being ready and you give them to teams like playground games who have no experience making an rpg. When is fable coming out 2025? Elder scrolls 6 2026? Outer worlds 2 2025? Avowed 2025?
2023 is the middle of this console gen and they won't have any of their highly anticipated exclusives until 2025... at the end of the console generation. If they could have staggered the release of these games with them popping out a good single player rpg every year they'd be straight but nope

PS5 is going to widen the gap because early adopters will influence their friends to get a PS5 over a XSX. I think MS only hope is PS5 owners want a second console to play their exclusives, but at the moment Xbox is living off potential. The thing about potential is it doesn't mean shyt, if you're not performing. Curious if they can recover but the barren 2022 made it undecided consumers' decision easy to wait for a PS5. Won't be shocked if they bow out of console manufacturing this gen or next because might be easier to be a multiplatform publisher than a console publisher.

They fukked the games ecosystem up with this buying spree bullshyt... why couldnt just focus on the game studios they already had instead of trying to cripple playstation...
