oh oh yeah its true tbh, sometimes you cant over producer a beat, it doesnt matter what genre, loads of full grime beats made by guys like Nocturnal, Dot Rotten, TruOmega, Wiley etc etc list goes on so i dunno why some of the guys in here are saying grime is flat


and yeah some neptunes beats are very simple, just a reminder, p and chad used a triton keyboard, same as wiley in the early days, P's single frontin is a very simple beat when you listen to the beat on its own

It's not really worth discussing grime with 90% of them. It's too different. Some will get it, most won't. Honestly, you gotta be a real musical fiend to get it. For me, it's like getting into Houston hip hop. It's a whole culture to it and it bleeds through the music in every way. 99% of grime was never going to make any real money and everyone knew it but did it anyway. For lvoe, for respect, for their hood, whatever.

@noumena Grime is one of those things that you'll only really understand if you grew up in London circa 2002 - 2007.

Grime back then and Grime now are two completely diff things. Most of the beats now are just trap IMO.
