I think "Anchorman" = most overrated MOVIE in history. Is it because I'm not white?

Anchorman is one of my favorite comedies. Unfortunately, comedy is one of those things that is extremely subjective. One person finds something funny and another doesn't. Still doesn't come close to 40 year old virgin. that's probably my fav.

i googled dry humor.

Good for you.

I Googled:

  • Always Sunny in Philadelphia "Dry Humor"
  • 25,200 results or so to back me
  • Curb Your Enthusiasm "Dry Humor"
  • 17,200 results or so to back me up
  • Anchorman "Dry Humor"
  • 33,400 results or so to back me up

2 people on The Coli don't agree with me. Wow. I must be wrong. :shaq:

I could have inflated the search result numbers by not using quotations marks. Instead I used them so i wouldn't get pages with just the word dry or just the word humor. Only got pages with the words together.

So the conversation is out there. 99% of those results are pages where other people categorize those shows as dry humor. they accept it and state it as fact. a lot of them even are from professional reviewers at big sites.

Maybe we should wait until the Scientific Journal publishes a peer reviewed study, or the Oxford Dictionary nails down an official definition. Then I'd be able to definitively prove you wrong.

Japan, but from the 989
I just don't get it y'all.

I can sit through the whole movie and not laugh once. I'm a huge fan of dry humor. I like Arrested Development, Curb, Always Sunny, but I don't get Anchorman. :ohhh:

White people love that shyt. Why? Chewie? Duck? I think y'all are white.

Even the quotables don't do it for me.

I might be the only person on the planet not looking forward to the sequel. :what:

LOL Man, I watched that movie HIGH as hell. I died laughing at it. Especially when Jack Black kicked that dog off the bridge...oh god...lmao!!! :Pacquiaoing:

You're going to link/quote a internet definition (one of a hundred) of dry humor and then in the very next breath criticize me for taking what's said on the internet at face value? :dwillhuh::dwillhuh::dwillhuh::dwillhuh:
Do you realize how idiotic that is?

Anchorman really started the trend for the dumb, dry humor that is present in movies and comedy today

ESPN's Page 3 describes the movie as
In the movie "Anchorman," comic actor Will Ferrell portrays quirky. It's a dry humor -- you have to cut through a lot of the subtext
An opinion I respect 100000000x more than some guy on The Coli

99%. Like I said. Thank you for finding the 1%. I make considerable $$$ from Google and knowing exactly how it's search works. Please don't lecture me on the difference between Kobe Bryant & terrorists and my search.
