There were a few nikkas in here arguing that the shows listed above weren't dry humor either. seems like no one has a clue but me.Many popular American sitcoms also use deadpan expressions to deliver dry humor, most notably Parks and Recreation, Arrested Development, The Office and Seinfeld.

And for the record: I can see how Always Sunny and Anchorman could be categorized as something else by some people. Since they only use SOME elements of dry humor. And the comedy is mixed up. That's as far as I'm willing to go.

I'll admit that sometimes I lump wit and smart comedy as dry. Anything that challenges you to make connections, look deeper and is not just someone tripping over an object or farting.
