I think you're confusing dry humor as white people being funny.
there is nothing about anchorman that suggests dry humor.

I just don't get it y'all.
I can sit through the whole movie and not laugh once. I'm a huge fan of dry humor. I like Arrested Development, Curb, Always Sunny, but I don't get Anchorman.
White people love that shyt. Why? Chewie? Duck? I think y'all are white.
Even the quotables don't do it for me.
I might be the only person on the planet not looking forward to the sequel.
Are you sure you know what dry humor is? Because I do.
The movie is filled with irony and sarcasm. The essential elements of dry humor.
The forced irony is the biggest problem. It beats you over and over like a baseball bat to the head until you can't take it anymore. Some people think that's funny though.
The shows you mention don't use dry humor at all.
show me one example of It's always sunny using dry humor.
the show drips of irony/sarcasm and deadpan delivery by the cast.
bro, do you have any idea what dry humor/wit is? maybe you should google it and get back to the conversation at hand.
no i watch the show and most of the gangs mannerisms are anything but deadpan deliveries. They always switch between who is the straight man but there is always one character who is exaggerated.
Charlie uses dry humor?
Frank uses dry humor?
You could make a case for Dennis but more often not he is just as exaggerated as the rest of them.
You gotta find one uptight lame dude to not find anything about Anchorman funny
just checked the "dry humor" wiki for the first time. Arrested Development and Seinfeld (mind as well be Curb) are both on the wiki page (i know "but anyone can edit that".) Always Sunny can be lumped into that group. A search for: Always Sunny "Dry Humor" - brings back 100's of thousands of results.
But they're all wrong right too?
How are we even having this argument right now?
SMH @ someone calling me out for not knowing my "genres" when dry humor isn't even a "genre" by it's very definition.
