I don't actually know what my 1rm is on bench nor curls, don't really care either. I do them and I'm confident in my strength on both but I prefer working my biceps as secondary on lifts like db, bb rows, lat pulldowns etc and I got more visable progress outta dips and push up variations than I did pressing a bunch of sets

lol @ him saying he doesn't have any use for a strong lower back.

Any sport or fight or manual labor or even fukking require usage of the lower back muscles. This is why a lot of dudes have back problems, they neglect it and allow problems to develop instead of strengthening the erector spinae muscles which would prevent a lot of issues. Just more ignorance floating around in the fitness area.

I've reintroduced curls to my training recently. I went almost a year without ever doing them and just relied on back exercises like bent over rows and pull ups which maintened good size. Recently I've been trying to get more cut and defined, and since reintroducing curls my arms appear a lot leaner and cut.

I think there is room for all exercises in training, variety is the key. Keep the body guessing by changing up routines, exercises and intensities.

Yall are trippin bout deadlifts. Deadlifts corrected my posture and help ELIMINATE my back pain. I have folks always asking me if I grew:dead:

I dont like regular heavy deads. I just do lower weight Romanian deads for my hams. If I did them again it would be on some powerlifting shyt. <3 reps instead of the 405x6 I hit before I stopped.

There's nothing wrong with hitting heavy deadlifts for less than three reps.

The only part that sucks is having to put back all the weights.

I'm not a dikkhead, sohh I always rerack all my weights after I'm done.

I'd probably have people complaining to the gym staff, if I left heavy weights laying around.

Plus it's a liability, to individuals (presumably noobs) who don't know how to properly unload weight, one side at time, when using the power rack....

To note: the latisimmus dorsi is the one largest muscle group in the body. If you take both quadraceps together, they make up the largest muscle pair group in the body. So if you really want to get big like Warren Sapp or Todd Heap, work on the legs and back. If you want to get raped in jail, only do curls and bench press.
