I've been doing the same
but his bullshyt finds a way to break through

I was visiting my aunt and uncle and my aunt said she needed to pack a go-bag and said to make sure I have mine packed just in case.I want to. I need to. But this isn't Trump 1.0. I just can't shake that we're gonna hit an event horizon and people are going to need to act. I don't want that to surprise me.
But I do need to consciously take more breaks from it, because to your point largely there's nothing we can do. That inaction can drive you insane.
WE? I don't care about this shyt. But I think these dudes outrage is real they be doom scrolling on social media and watching the news 24/7 and they are already primed and pumped to go off about everything. We got a few protests but Im shocked these nikkas not hitting the streets and setting shyt on fire. Most the outrage I seen from nikkas is mostly online. "Trump this, Elon that, Republicans This, Maga that the same tune over and over.
Yup. You don't want to wake up to martial law or a economic depression while caught off guard.I want to. I need to. But this isn't Trump 1.0. I just can't shake that we're gonna hit an event horizon and people are going to need to act. I don't want that to surprise me.

I don't even know if it's the actual news itself, because there is nothing wrong with being informed, but people have adopted this strategy of intentionally framing headlines and the news itself in this antagonistic fashion. It just comes out as "us vs them" "they keep doing this" "i hate this", a whole bunch of emotional reactionary rhetoric.
Like how much of that do you really want to listen to? A lot of the converstions are devoid of solutions and organization. You only have so much time, energy, and mental capacity in a day-lifetime
When you distance yourself from the news and the people that are constantly immersed in it 24/7 it's hard not to notice how miserable and irritable they seem and they can't wait to try and unload that on someone else
