I said it once and I say it again: Mobb Deep - The Infamous is the greatest rap album of all time

Hahaha :pachaha:

I give you this...Nas is the better mc that’s the truth but if I compare the infamous and illmatic the mobb deep record got more magic. Them lyrics flows and beats Match better together then on illmatic. That’s why I’m sayin it’s like a movie everything fits perfectly together. It most defiantly got the better production even tho illmatic is fresh to death too
Infamous just got those intangibles. It’s more real than any words we could muster :wow:
Illmatic #2 though :wow:

:dead: at calling The Infamous a weed plate in any capacity. Is it objectively better than Illmatic? Probably not. Illmatic is probably the greatest rap album of all time but it's not a ridiculous take for someone to say The Infamous is better. I think Illmatic is the better album but I listen to The Infamous more and prefer it a little bit.

Calling it a weed plate is silly though. If you want to make that analogy work then you've gotta pick a Mobb album that's really good but not a 5-mic classic. If you said Murda Muzik was a weed plate compared to Illmatic you'd still get a lot of eye rolls but the analogy would at least make sense. By definition no 5-mic album is a weed plate in any regard.
Murda Muzik is a 5 mic classic though :wow:
All 25 versions :wow:

Boy stop....

Prodigy was NEVER mentioned in the BEST RAPPERS ON THE PLANET CONVERSATION of 95-96

He was never mentioned in the same Convo with BIG.. JAY Z.. NAS..

Fool this was 1995...COMPETITION WAS FIERCE... THIS WAS THE STRONGEST FIELD SINCE 88

you had not only BIG JAY and NAS

you also had REDMAN... BIG L... LORD FINESSE... GHOSTFACE... O. C.... hell even KRS ONE was still bringing heat on the mic

And let's not forget KEITH MURRAY lyrically he ran circles around Prodigy

Only reasons people like P.. is the fact he had a ILL VOICE... GREAT DELIVERY OVER DARK BEATS and the PERSONA OF THAT GRIMY GULLY EAST COAST PERSONA that we all felt defined authentic East Coast hip hop

Great rapper.. But NOT a wordsmith or top 5 lyrical mc

Truth hurts :manny:
Jay wasn’t in the conversation in 95 at all.
He inserted himself in the conversation in 97 with “who’s the best emcees? Biggie, Jay, P and Nas”

Yes I’ve been in my feelings since July struggling with a way to respond to your post

Man just relax and fall back

As for my opinion you cant challenge that

Cause you can't claim to know Rap

And tell me NAS AINT ALL THAT :manny:

Because my next response

I can really be foul

And say shutup child and sit down

Because the only reason u call P a Goat

Is cause he is No longer around :rip:
