Like I said, everyone I know that flipped from 0 to 60 in that fitness lane had something relatively jarring enough happen to make them want to change. Once they started seeing those changes, they usually kept it going because their motivation (or reward) was seeing progressively better results. The all of a sudden "new year, new me folks" didn't stick.
I been doing push ups, planks, high knee run in place, lunges, and jump rope. fukk what that nikka saying. Just do it til u can’t

Look into "greasing the groove" :dame: :whoa:. (Basically has you doing mini-sets super frequently to get in extra volume and build up your skrenff quickly.)

I knew a cat (read: a real p*ssy) that got bounced in boot camp for medical after them soft-ass workouts sent him to the med ward. :mjlol:

Dude did like 6 or 7 push-ups and not even 10 sit-ups his first PT test. :troll: :comeon: :what: :dead:



They was shocked like "dude is so smart" but apparently not smart enough to know his punk-ass would have to exercise and pass PT tests in order to graduate. :mjgrin:

I don't believe in motivation, it means you're already starting at a low/weak point.

Simply do the exercises, no excuses, no build up, just grab your weight and bang, or run/walk.

I don't get motivated, I get moving.

Motivation is one of those things for folks who not about that life. Once putting in work becomes second nature, you don't need motivation, concrete goals, none of that.

Imagine asking a nikka when the last time they were motivated to wash they ass or eat some food was. :mjlol:

dont have to do a hardcore fukkin workout each time just show up and do SOMETHING breh

This is the ONLY advice you need, if there's one thing you take from this thread it's this. Even if you show up and do 50% effort it's good. But the magic happens when you warm up and all of a sudden you end up going 100%. Everytime I tell myself I don't feel like working out, I just say imma run the treadmill for 15 minutes or lift light. Next thing I know I'm going 105% effort

It's works everytime:whew:

That's not the point I'm getting at. Somebody that goes everyday putting 50% will soon put in 100% effort compared to somebody skipping days. It works for me every time I start off at 50% but end up going 100% once I warm up

Unless you trying to put muscle mass, it doesn't require a lot of effort to stay slim. Running 3 days a week with body weight exercise + key diet will keep you in shape. Even if you obese you can still lose weight, just relatively slow. Building muscle requires 100% effort

Not tryna argue, just saying what I see. The lil 24/7 spot I go to has nothing but outta shape fat bodies and DYEL guys and girls in it. I can tell who's a regular because I remember their faces and they be coming in around the same time, but because their exercise selection, form, and effort are lacking they can't seem to slim down or buff up.

One dude built like Santa Claus will legit lift on machines for 15 minutes, stretch for 20, use the bathroom for 15 and then dip. :beli: :skip:

The cats that be doing work at my main gym stay hustling.

Just what I be seeing in my experience. :hubie:

Once or Twice a week isn't 50% Breh. I said go everyday and put in at least 50%, but you'll eventually ramp up to 100%. When I go in and start off at 50% I usually get in the zone and start pushing over 100%
