I'm almost always on board with that sentiment, because I said as much last year with regard to Le'Veon. Though it was a bit different due to the position not being worth the 15 milly he want. But. given what we have seen during Schwartz tenure here, a premium must be placed on at least one corner who excels at man coverage with little safety help. As long as Schwartz is going to be stubborn and put his guys on an island, we need someone who embraces and excels on that island.

For me, when it comes to spending top dollar on players/positions.. I am on board with corner, edge rusher, any OL, QB. We already have big money into each of those except CB. If not Jalen, who is available?

Best Available Free Agent potentially is Byron Jones. He can cover but Former c00nboy Lifer and Doesnt Intercept the Ball :scust:

Could Probably Trade for Darius Slay and his big money contract from Detroit. Price Tag will definitely be less in the offseason versus the first rounder they were asking for at the trade deadline.

I always thought he was overrated. Liked him better at safety than as a corner.

:patrice:

Is he willing to go back to safety???

Unfortunately, I have to agree with the rest of the brehs as far as trading away draft capital. So Slay has to be a no unless that price tag is dropped in a major way.

Price tag definitely going down, he is in the final year of his contract. 10 milly cap hit to add him. I would do it for a third rounder without hesitation:manny:.

Byron is gonna get overpaid at corner since he is the best in this years market

were stuck with schwartz? :snoop:

Indeed. Unless someone has the cojones to fire him outright.

With that knowledge. I'll double down on wanting to get Jalen Ramsey. Schwartz won't switch things up. So best we can do is get one of the best man coverage guys, even at a high ass cap number. Force teams to throw to tight ends or their #2 receiver. Because running isn't a smart option against us.

Ramsey is gonna be a ram for most of this decade. Rams gave up two first rounders for him. No way they let him walk in Free Agency, they ll franchise him before that.

We missed our shot because of the price tag.

U right tho, Schwartz's scheme needs a shut down corner to consistently be effective.

Our offense would've been one of the fastest with Desean, Agholor, Sanders, Ertz & Goedert

So next season, we need to add a speed receiver or 2 to the mix and we will have one of the fastest offenses as well
If Howie can get Robby Anderson in FA and/or one of Henry Ruggs III or KJ Hamler in the draft, with DJax coming back next season too? :banderas:

Ramsey isnt a free agent until after the 2020 season. Schwartz prefers playing zone rather than man, despite his corners being better at man statistically speaking
