I have a vibe that Deuce maybe a better head coach than an OC- the problem is- noone is giving him an interview - he seems like the type of guy players would play for, being a player and one who was successful has it own cache with a lockerrom- I think if a team gave him an OC who was on the come up and a grizzled vet as a DC- given a team with some talent- he would probably do well
Could totally be possible, maybe he's more of a technique and inspiration than an x and o's guy.

All I know is he's done an amazing job and deserves a chance somewhere to have a bigger role.

What's your take on the monken guy from TB ? I read Bleeding Green article you mentioned and him, Caldwell and Duce seem like the best choices.

Seems like he was getting alot of the credit for what Fitzpatrick and them did on that run laat year but I dont know enough to call it

The one issue Deuce maybe facing is even though he is the RB coach- he doesn't coordinate the run game-Stoutland is the run game guy.

Regarding Monken- earlier in this thread- I mentioned that I think he would be a great addition. The league is adopting more and more college offenses-Monken is an Air Raid guy which is an aggressive passing attack.
Andy Reid found a way to weave air raid concepts into his WCO, so why cant we? The issue is Monken is still employed by the Browns right now.

I definitely get Mike Tomlin vibes from Deuce. Too bad this league is racist. How ur league is majority black players and the head coaches are overwhelmingly white. Scust.

Definitely would have been a better choice than fukkin Joe Judge for the Giants.

I will reserve judgement on Judge- no pun intended...he maybe really good..but how my man Deuce cant get ONE fukkIN interview? :stopitslime:
Part of me wants to see Miami do well since they are the only team with a black GM and black head coach

Might need to sign Ramsey.
Byron Jones or James Bradberry might be available and would cost less. I'd be shocked if the Rams didn't offer Ramsey a monster deal given what they gave up to trade for him, and the Eagles have other needs to fill.

Can they even do that? They keep spending all this money, do they have cap space to make him the highest paid corner after already making Gurley the highest paid RB (before zeke) and Donald the highest paid IDL, on top of Goff getting his bread.

I'll hold out hope that they can't sign him and Howie makes a strong push for him. He's young and, correct me if I'm wrong, stays healthy for the most part. We could easily get away with Jalen, Jalen, Avonte and strap. Yes, I'd be willing to keep Mills on the cheap for his talent inside the 30 and his ability to tackle and his pursuit in the run game. But only if we end up with a bonafied shut down corner like Ramsey.

Is he being blocked from interviews again this year? Surely someone has interest, even if its just to break up the good thing we have with him. I wouldn't be surprised if Lurie told the rest of the league that he is once again off limits.

I have no idea. But I’m assuming the Rams FO wouldn’t give up two 1st Round picks for one player just to have him play half a season. That’d just be monumentally stupid. You have to figure that there was a plan to re-sign him going into that trade.

And if he does hit the open market, some other team is going to make him the highest-paid corner. I’d rather have a solid CB and some other needs met rather than tying up almost all the cap in a single person.

True, shutdown corners are so hard to find, I think you can get away with 2 very good CB with 2 above average safeties you can hold down the backfield

I'm almost always on board with that sentiment, because I said as much last year with regard to Le'Veon. Though it was a bit different due to the position not being worth the 15 milly he want. But. given what we have seen during Schwartz tenure here, a premium must be placed on at least one corner who excels at man coverage with little safety help. As long as Schwartz is going to be stubborn and put his guys on an island, we need someone who embraces and excels on that island.

For me, when it comes to spending top dollar on players/positions.. I am on board with corner, edge rusher, any OL, QB. We already have big money into each of those except CB. If not Jalen, who is available?
