She’s going to be winning a lot of these this year
She changed the custody from 50/50 to 45/55 just for the fukk of itShe was the most engaging part of the movie tbh. Maybe bc her character was more relatable personality wise, imo. I like how she was all about the facts but still connect to her softer, feminine and emotional side when necessary; she was also empathetic and compassionate but looked like she would kick a person’s head off if they tested her (in self defense of course). I also saw how they created this “sexual aura” and dynamic with her character whenever there were men in the room- the use of her “seductive prowess” and flirtiness to get what she wants. Notice how when they were in that courtroom she took off her sweater when the arguments became more intense, purosely taking it off real slow(lol) . Like it shows how appealing to a basic instinct can manipulate a discussion. In the conference room, she was very complimentary to the husband, walking around in a fitted dress. She knew what to use and when- her mind and knowledge.

Dap and rep, it's interesting how women see the movie compared to men
Purely out of competition. I’ve seen that type of pettiness irl. I’m more shocked at how the judge allowed her to wear that spaghetti strapped ‘nightgown’ dress that she had on in the courtroom and how the ex husband wakes up everyday wanting her to die
I’m usually not into drama type movies but they had me feeling some type of way. Thanks, OP.
Maybe I liked it a little more than when i led on in my initial response, now that I’m thinking back at the different parts.Dap and rep, it's interesting how women see the movie compared to men
I don’t know too much about divorce or family law, (I wouldn’t touch that shyt with a 10ft pole) but he’s the primary income provider and generated the most money; I think that’s how it usually works. In some cases, the husband pays for the entire legal fees. I’ve seen amicable couples who each decide to pay for their own or reverse where the wife is the main income generator and pays. Most cases if is the husband bc the wife is stay at home or makes substantially lower than the husband. On top of the lawyer fees, that’s not even including alimony, child support, medical insurance, school tuition, recreational expenses. High net worth individuals have a seperate court process than regular income - that would include accountants, financial analysts, private investigators, that’s seoerate and apart from the lawyers. They weren’t exaggerating the monetary expenses in this movie. End up paying $150k to get a divorce on top of the other payments. Why does the husband have to pay for 30 percent of the lawyer's fee for the wife if the wife is the one filing for divorce?

Like I said earlier, drama/rom-com movies are usually not my thing but I watched this until the end so that says something. The movie wasn’t on my radar and I wouldn’t haven’t watched until I saw your post actually. Salute. Pending rep.
I was reading your posts confused like “does she like the movie or hate it? “ lol. I had a similar reaction. After it ended initially I was like “eh, it was okay I guess.” But when I thought about it more I was like “damn, that was a great movie”
I had a former coworker who went through something similar to the main character.I don’t know too much about divorce or family law, (I wouldn’t touch that shyt with a 10ft pole) but he’s the primary income provider and generated the most money; I think that’s how it usually works. That's ironic considering shes been criticized her entire career for having wooden acting.
