If anyone wants to make a come up this is what I'd do

Burn 1000 copies of some underground datpiff mixtape like some nipsey hussle or something

Go to the highway with all the people stuck in there cars, knock on each window and sell it for $5 a pop, take donations from the cupholder coinage too

you'd make more money sellin ppl shyt they actually need; like food and water

People in Westchester and Rockland county manage, and their infrastructure for handling snow isn't nearly as good as NYCs, they often have to wait until the next day for roads to be clear and they still do fine with driving.

I was in Yonkers last week and there were plenty of roads that weren't salted, and cars weren't flying off the road. I'm not gonna make jokes or anything, but if the vast majority of a population has never driven in snow/icey conditions I sort of expect what I see happening down there.
All I know is that my brother, uncle, and I drove out Manhattan without much of a hitch. You know I'm no rookie driver. I was stuck last night just like everyone else.

The only thing people didn't understand was keeping momentum IMO, but when there's a stop light at the top of the hill and people are trying to go through the intersection all 8 ways, you can't really keep moving.

Driving in compacted snow (6+ inches of soft powder) isn't too bad, it's the hail or wet snow that freezes that's really bad which is what you all got.

People crash here all the time when it's icy and they have driven in it before, so an entire metro area getting hit with these conditions + it being new for so many drivers, it's not a shocker to me that it can have this effect.

My mom got stuck in traffic for 11 hours trying to drive 7 miles :damn:

I'm so glad I left work at 11 am yesterday....

The last snow storm we had (which was actually much worse than this one) a few years ago wasn't even this bad on traffic, although that's likely because the last one happened at night on a Sunday.

Expect Atlanta to get Super Bowl despite storm
By Jeff Schultz

See this thing? Atlanta needs about 100 more of them. (Hyosub Shin/AJC)

NEW YORK – So here I am at the weather-threatened Super Bowl in New York and I’m about to blog on the Super Bowl-threatening weather in Atlanta. What’s wrong with this picture?

This is what I know about the mess in Atlanta and what it means for the future.

1) Our city annually seems less prepared for inclement weather than any I know of.

2) Atlanta will get another Super Bowl, anyway.

I know sports fans and civic leaders who care about such things are panicking that the snow and ice of the past day in Atlanta, and the slow response in the cleanup, will significantly hurt the chances of hosting a third Super Bowl. After all, the city last hosted the game in 2000, and the lead-up to the game was marred by two ice storms: the week before the game and the weekend of.

But it’s a misnomer that the NFL rewards Super Bowls based only on weather. I’ll have more on this in an essay Sunday as part of a Page 2 package of stories. But in short, the NFL rewards Super Bowls to every city with a new stadium.

Atlanta will get another Super Bowl when Falcons owner Arthur Blank gets his new palace built. It’s all but guaranteed. NFL owners – read: the commissioner’s office – have allowed Detroit, Indianapolis and Dallas to host the game in recent years because of new stadium construction.

The Super Bowl this week is in the New Jersey. The area was paralyzed by a storm last week that dropped 14 inches of snow – not an uncommon occurrence this time of year.

In 2010, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said, “I think a new stadium with this great community would be beneficial to bringing another Super Bowl to this community.”

However . . .

Given recent events, it’s safe to conclude that the Falcons, city officials and the bid committee members will need to come up with an extremely detailed plan for the league about how it would respond to bad weather the week of their centerpiece event.

That plan can’t read like this: “Two extra bags of salt and a snow plow on loan from Macon.”

Phone the Green Bay Packers and offer hotel rooms, steaks and aquarium tickets for their frozen world experts.

According to my highly placed snow-and-ice source, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal, they’re now using cheese brine to melt ice. Turns out they have an excess of cheese brine in Wisconsin. Can we get some of that?

Have a plan, Atlanta. But don’t worry. The Super Bowl will be back.

Folks jobs werent letting them leave until it was too late, same thing with the schools.

Not to mention that just 2 weeks ago folks were told an ice storm was coming and it didnt do shyt.
Should have never went. Schools should not have been open. ATL had an ice storm a couple of years ago that crippled the city.

LOL @ people thinking it was just 2 inches of snow that is causing this.

It's a a crapshoot with snow here. They'll say snow is coming and we'll get a quarter inch or nothing despite them calling for something serious. Everyone just goes about the day as usual.

This time it actually happened.
I had to call a tow for that guy blocking 285 at riverside this morning. I told that nikka good luck. I look at the traffic cam and traffic is just a solid block, b. Tow truck aint getting to you till that ice melts on its own
