I know this is a bit off topic, but y'all would be surprised at the German cars that get abandoned at shops because people can't afford the repairs/maintenance . If you don't mind putting a little bit of money into them you can get them for a steal. Just understand that it's a German vehicle and needs maintenance at the required mileage intervals.

Yes i'm 40 and I bought an old SUV. Should I have gotten a Range Rover?? lol This is the 3rd vehicle in my driveway, my other 2 are paid off. My house is paid off. I save 5k a month. I could've gotten a G-wagon and damn near any new / used vehicle I want, but I've always wanted this one I'm enjoying it. .

It's 10 years old. 150k miles, paid 24k. Put 5k down. Trying to have it paid off in a year, to avoid the interest. I was going to trade my Maxima in for a Lexus LS500. But test drove this beast and fell in love with it. I've never had a truck and i've always wanted a land cruiser, since back whenCash Money and No Limit were rapper about Land Cruisers. And the reliability.

Pros:
Drives like a dream. So smooth.
Just a Beast, almost 400hp
Just capable, hills, curves, offroad, i can tow up to 700lbs
Now I used what it means to feel in command of the road.
Mark Levinson sound systems isn't as clear as Bose, but bangs harder.
Love the split tailgate and power outlet in the rear. Just was chilling eating at the crib.

Cons:
Horrible on Gas (not as bad as I thought tho) Drove from DC to Louisiana and back over the weekend (2500 miles) $450.
Not as many compartments and storage as I would like.


It's basically this one,, plus I have bigger meaner tires.

Make sure to oil spray the bottom to keep the frame from rusting.

Joe Rogan bought a 95 Land Cruiser these Toyotas have a different type of following. Idk what OP got going on but it’s not unusual for someone with money to purchase and turn to an off-roader. A guy with a 2020 GT3RS bought a 13 FJ Cruiser with 80k miles for 31K off me. FJ is based off a smaller Land Cruiser. Same platform as the GX as well. They’re regarded for their off-road capability/durability. If bought just to flex as a grocery getter GX and not to truly off-road than it beats me
