I don't pray, but if I did, I'd be praying Baltimore doesn't turn into a "sanctuary city". We already have legal and illegal immigrants here, but we would likely get overrun if they started busing here, and neighborhoods like mine, where I JUST bought this house, would be just the type of place they start sending them. More immigrants, more cheap labor, even less jobs for brehs, more crime.

But how is letting the GOP win and ban/take away things that benefit black people better than the democrats not doing anything for black people?

People need each other more than they need the govt. The “right vs left” or “black vs white” and now even “man vs woman” gender war narratives that keep being pushed keeps people from recognizing that. A lot of the problems this country has could be solved if the people worked together to solve them and the concept of go fund me shows that.

It is up to the Dems to earn our votes, they are not just entitled to Black votes simply because of what LBJ and the Dems accomplished damn near 60 years ago.

Black folks also need to have the courage to break out of this Republicans is bad and Dems is Jesus, overly simplistic binary way of political thinking.

Most Black folks don't have that courage, so despite all the complaints about Biden and his low approval ratings over 80% of Black voters will support the Dems in 2024. Dems will appoint some Black folks to some positions but no tangible policy advancements for us overall.
