No, not as big as baseball.
But basketball is definitely #2. And I would argue it's not far behind.

People just have to understand that baseball has been a phenomenon in the country for like 75 years.
Basketball has been growing for maybe 20.

Fuuck the Dominican Republic.

Puerto Ricans are mad cool and don't be on that for the most part. I don't know why Dominicans in Boston be like that. Haitians are my favorite. :mjcry: Haitians in Mattapan and Dorchester are the sweetest and nicest people. All them old ass ladies be treating me like a long lost grand child. :mjcry:
You gave me flashback when I raised in Little Haiti. All the grown folks used to treat me like their son. :to:My family and friends of the family were tight knit in the community. It was all love and we used to look out for one another. I missed those days. :mjcry:

It was my understanding they were different, along with the Caribs. But maybe you're right.
I took a caribbean history course in college but that was a long time ago

Caribs were Indian Cannibals from there Lower Antilles.

Are there any DR nba players?

Maybe al horford?
Felipe Lopez he flopped in the league but he was a highly touted high school and collegiate player.

Al Horford, Francisco Garcia, Charlie Villanueva, Mark Jackson is half Dominican. Karl Anthony Towns is Dominican too.

:ehh: Surprising. All these nikkas grew up in the States. Dont think we will ever seen a international prospect from DR make the league.

Whats that DR chick Amara La Negra or whatever she pro black too. :ehh:

of course. They have to. The infrastructure isn't there in DR to go from there to the pros. Besides, if you're good, you wanna go stateside.

The first pick of the 2015 nba draft Karl Anthony Towns is Dominican

:blessed: Domincans

Hes African american.

I grew up in Miami and a lot of the Dominicans do not like to call themselves black because of the negative stereotypes associated with being black. A lot of them act as if they are above Haitians. A lot of them like saying they are not black, but will be more than happy to claim their non black heritage. You also have to understand that their history is white washed and they more praise to their European history.

This pretty much sums it up.
