What's that look like for you? I do think some of us believe we're in a lower pecking order than whites. I understand it to a degree but the lack of self confidence to not go after what we think we deserve kills us.

I've seen this with other groups. A female friend of mine is Filipina and her parents think she's a black sheep because she's a high level consultant that works with angel investors and VCs instead of working as a nurse or post office worker like many Flilipinos. We're taught to just be happy with what we get. I'm like fukk all that.

I do work to get more Blacks in Tech myself because I think it's important for us to occupy those spaces too.

Well for me i try not to let negative thoughts take control and I try to write my own story no matter how delusional it may seem. Embracing optimism more when it comes to me. Asking myself “why not me?” When it comes to good things happening to me
