Discussing reparations in a few posts on thecoli is more work than putting a bill together and submitting it to congress, apparently.

:unimpressed:

If you believe that Cori Bush primarily worked on/authored a House resolution bill, then you're just as dumb as the rest of her supporters. :mjlol::pachaha:

I always ignored this video but decided to stop making assumptions and listen since it's just two minutes

And now I can know BothSiders don't know shyt about politics instead of just assuming

Basically she says she won't commit to something that only helps specifically black people and will instead target things that indirectly help black people more than everyone, while reminding people that something that indirectly helps black people will help everyone else so they shouldn't be mad about that.

In other words shes playing the game the way its supposed to be played. Especially it today's age where we are LITERALLY seeing republicacs SUING ALL POLICIES that DIRECTLY help black people specifically, like affirmative action and the smaller reparations pilot programs across the country.

Instead she's supposed to commit political suicide for something that would get struck down by Trump's corrupt Supreme Court :beli:

Cherry on the top was all the BothSider bots in the youtube comments of this video

There's no logic to their hate.

They want her to just "make reparations happen" as if everyone would support it. We already know that only Black folks support it. They can never explain exactly HOW she'd get it to work.

They also can't explain how she could push for reparations without screwing up her own political career.

Why can't Trump promise reparations? Because he knows it's political suicide and he couldn't get it done even if be wanted to....but Kamala is supposed to fall on the sword. She's not even ADOS right? Why would she push for it?

This would matter if we had more than two options. We don't, it's literally a decision between bad and worse

To stick to the doctor analogy, the Dems are like a doctor giving you pills for high blood pressure while not dealing with any of the underlining issues like bad diet and stress levels. Not ideal but I'm alive and stuck in a position where I need to keep going to this doctor even though they only giving me band aids to the real issues. The republicans are the doctor who stops the pill prescription and injects your ass with hiv.
No one thinks the Dems are good but in a two party system a non vote is a vote against the better of the two option
Idealists vs pragmatists.

The idealists can tell you what they want but they can't explain how to get it.

The pragmatists don't always know what they want but they know what it takes to get even simple shyt done.

She worked on it with others and that work was still more work than what you did for reparations.

Politricking intellectually disabled individuals with nothing burger House resolution bills isn't "work," it's low-brow pandering.

There's plenty of logic.

1. Reparations is a large government policy. A political party that is for regulation and large government would have to be the one that passes it. If Trump was part of that party (which he was in the 80's and 90's, IIRC he ran for President as a Democrat at some point in that time) folks should pester him on it. Where is the logic in asking for reparations from the free market small government party?

2. Black people for decades have voted for Democrats at a rate greater than 90%. As a voting block that is an unheard of degree of political loyalty. Where is the logic in asking for reparations from the party that we've historically only voted at like an 10% rate for?

3. If you can't figure out how to run for President and at the same time support reparations, you definitely don't represent our best and brightest and have no business running using the black imagery that you use. Cease and desist all Howard/AKA/D9 imagery, give up your VP seat that you only got because the drum was being beat for a black woman and try to get in there on your own merit.

Honestly if you want to know how it'd work, a President would use their media apparatus to shed light on the issue, educate the public on why it's necessary and talk about what they can do to help get it passed, who's in the way, and why they are in the way.

Like I said before:

Your only contribution towards reparations is saying reparations on thecoli.

:unimpressed:

And a useless H.R. reparations bill from a recently ousted Congresswoman with no more political power is Cori Bush's "contribution."

at-least she tried. You run for office and push a bill for reparations, breh. Or is that too much work?
