Like no guest appearances, no satellite interviews, no social media team, not even a once a year Thanksgiving game appereance.

Dude was the most popular football media figure for so many years and just went off the grid

I kinda respect it, but wouldn't mind a guest appearance

its cuz he's old :russell: as shyt now. he can't do tv anymore.

John Madden is old af and near the end. He probably has dementia, Alzheimer’s and other shyt
It’s probably gotten to the point where kids born in the mid 2010s and later don’t know who John Madden is.

I bet when he passes (hopefully not for a while), people are gonna be like, “:ohhh: so THATS why it’s called Madden?!”
Mid 2010’s? That’s like 5, 6, 7 year olds lol

Jits born in the 2000’s don’t really know who Madden is

They were great. The only one that I think is close is Keith Jackson and Bob Griese, largely on the strength of Jackson. I watched way more college football than pro growing up and Jackson is a part of the soundtrack of my childhood.
"Whooooaa, Nelly!"

"Whooooaa, doctor!"

Keith Jackson is the GOAT college announcer.

Musberger and my guy Gus are great, too, but Keith Jackson is the STANDARD for college football announcing.
