Me and my pops used to watch the Giants games on TV and just hearing him and Pat Summerall was just :ahh:

Back in the day you didn't know who was doing the commentary ahead of time like you do now but if it was Giants/Cowboys, Giants/Redskins or any big NFC game and the game started with Summerall's voice doing the intro it was :blessed:

Dude was the most popular football media figure for so many years and just went off the grid

I kinda respect it, but wouldn't mind a guest appearance

It’s probably gotten to the point where kids born in the mid 2010s and later don’t know who John Madden is.

I bet when he passes (hopefully not for a while), people are gonna be like, “:ohhh: so THATS why it’s called Madden?!”
