I got to get a slow cooker/crock pot! Should have been had one.
their cool.. throw some veggies in in the morning.. slow cook some meat in the oven for about 20 to thaw/drain some unnecessary fat.. let it ride until the night..

I use mine for soups, but everyone has their preferences on how to use them..

this was my recent one:

Any good but simple slow cooker recipes? :lupe:

I live for my crockpot...I normally throw everything in around 12/1am so its done in the morning and dinners ready for that next evening

one of my go to recipes is crockpot chicken

1 whole roaster (thawed)
1 Leek
1 Fennel Bulb
1 Onion
Seasonings of your choice
1 cup of chicken stock/chicken broth

I cut up veggies to stuff inside chicken and also thoroughly season the chicken inside and out (I use a random combo of things like adobo, fresh or dried sage, fresh or dried rosemary, ginger, dry Italian dressing packet, etc)
Line bottom of crock with sliced onions
Add chicken, more veggies on top, then pour on chicken broth
Set on low for 8 hours (or until chicken is basically falling off the bone)

Serve chicken and "juices" over rice and add steamed veggies
