Nah, this looks like a very regional american dish. I would make it, but sub out the green peppers. The rice dish I'm obsessed with at the moment tho is Jollof rice.
Has anyone watched this show about the history if African American cuisine? Im watching the episode on The Carolina's, rice and the Gullah ppl. The Gullah accent sounds very Caribbean, like Bajan almost.
There are small pockets of communities up and down the east coast that have unusual accents compared to the rest of the region they're by. Mostly because theyve stayed to themselves on these small coastal islands. It's pretty interesting.
In North Carolina there's a group of white people what sound like theyre irish travelers
