Some one is a chef. I like to think I can cook but I don't make presentable food art like that.

Baked Cod with butter beans in a luxurious coconut sauce. Paired with roasted red pepper caper relish and roasted cabbage with a yoghurt tahini dressing. [MEDIA] [MEDIA]

Why not bake the code with the red pepper and caper relish?

Looks good btw just going through your methods.

I would bake the code with the pepper and caper relish. Put the butter beans with the coconut sauce in a small bowl/ramekin and shredded and tossed the roasted cabbage with the dressing for a better presentation.

The red pepper relish has vinegar, capers and raw red onion in it, it would clash with the coconut. I also roasted the peppers on an open flame to remove the skin and soften/wilt the peppers slightly for easier digestion. The relish was cold and was intended to cut the richness of the cod main. Cooking that in with the cod would completely change the flavour profile I was going for by making the dish entirely too sweet and unbalancing the dish.

I didn’t want to put the beans in a separate ramekin, I have a million ramekins; that wasn’t the presentation I was going for.

The cabbage was also roasted in quarters it’s not supposed to be shredded and tossed; it’s not a salad that’s what the peppers were for. This was a rustic Mediterranean feel not a fine dining experience. Also I didn't want to wash all those plates.

I need help with my vegetables, for whatever reason I have trouble with making them tasty. My son will devour everything else and bush the veggies, he used to love the purees and stuff when he ate them so I know it's not the veggies themselves

Corn, asparagus, broccoli, carrots, green beans, cabbage, sweet potatoes, I'd love some inspo

All about the seasoning for broccoli I use salt, garlic powder, onion powder. Asparagus I just use salt and pepper some people add minced garlic it’s all preference. Are you trying to season canned sweet potatoes 🍠 or fresh ones?

I use turkey necks in my cabbage and green beans. Corn and carrots are already sweet and flavorful, i dont add anything to carrots, course sea salt and butter on my corn on the cob. Aspargus, i add a bit of teriyaki too them since they dont really taste like shyt. My kids are picky and i always have to doctor up veggies to get them to eat them
