Made dinner for my dad, lasagna with fresh pasta (not sure I’d do that again, the noodles disintegrated other than around the edges, might be the one dish boxed pasta works better for), other than that, shyt was delicious, I used burrata instead of regular Mozzarella and it was :ohlawd: and my strawberry cake

edit: also made a kale Caesar but don’t nobody care about salad lol

Y’all gotta let the washing your chicken myth go, it actually poses more harm (spreading salmonella) than good. Cooking kills whatever bacteria you think you’re washing away. Now if you’re getting country butchered chicken with blood and giblet bits all over it, then yea, rinse away the debris. But packaged chicken has been washed before it even gets to you.

All these dudes never worked in a real restaurant. Half of them would sued for food poisoning by listening to their folksy culinary wisdom.
If you walk into a local deli and find them washing some deli meat in the sink, promise they will good a food safety violation. People make a big deal over using the same fryer for chicken nuggets as fries, but they think it's okay to put food in the same sink that they put soiled dishes? In culinary school we had to use a different cutting board for each type of meat. had them shyts color coded and everything. Had a temperature chart for getting food cooked enough where it's safe to eat. You don't need soap and water to clean your chicken, you needed a thermometer and an oven that can bring the internal temp up to 165%.

80% of the new recipes and techniques I try are stuff I see on YT. Just watch a dude make his own spices and now Im thinking about getting a dehydrator to make my own chili or onion powder. lol

My girl will talk me out of it eventually but damn I want to rn
