I have a question that I've posed here before

Out of maybe 20 Nigerian men that I know personally, at least 15 are paired up/married to white women. If there is still cultural reluctance to marry a fellow Nigerian of a different ethnic background......how are these inter racial weddings taking place (with the parents sanctioning it and attending the ceremony)?
All of the Nigerians I know my age are married to AA or Igbo women. Most married to AAs. I don't know too many Yorubas on a close level and the ones I do know are married to Yoruba women. I don't see any pawging except from the ones who were always gonna pawg day 1. That's like saying most nikkas where I am from are pawgin. I lived in the country, white women was most of the options. That said, from college, 99% of the ones i know married BW. I know one or two who pawgs but they were always pawgin and didn't hang with black folks like that.

Ya'll have a limited scope with Africans then judge them by the five or six nikkas you know who are African or 1st gen. I knew a couple of Jamaicans and both of them pawged heavy. Does that mean that all Jams are pawgers? Nope! I been to Jamaican, nikkas love their blackness. Kill that noise.

This is the kind of roundabout response that I've gotten.

Read my content since I've been here. and with a straight face, write that I have limited scope of Africans.
seriously.

Why post it or judge on it? You just don't have a broad scope.

Is this a real response?

There's a litmus test now about what people can and cannot comment or ask questions about?
If that's what you're saying, go ahead and scrub your posts in threads about cultures/nationalities that you aren't directly familiar with.
I know you won't do that..........so let me clarify my question.

How do inter racial marriages get sanctioned in cultures where inter or cross ethnic marriages can sometimes cause conflicts?

But that’s basically what happened here. I’m surprised more Black people don’t understand this. There isn’t a group on the planet more tribal than whites, and in this country they had their early struggles with each other as each of the different white “tribes” kept basically to themselves. WASPS vs Italians vs Irish vs vs vs. Roman Catholic vs Protestant vs vs vs.

Today there are still some ethnic enclaves in this country, sure, and there’s plenty of ethnic pride. But it’s also nothing, and actually quite common, to find an Italian married to an Irishman, and so on. They certainly aren’t going to war with one another over any “tribes” or classifications or whatever.

Also can’t underestimate the part the military played and will continue to play in bringing this about.

In my mind what’s happening in that video is a natural progression. The next step should be to look past being “Nigerian” the same way we over here don’t necessarily identify with being “Texan” or “Georgian” more than being AA.

As quiet as it's kept, this happens in the Afram community as well.
You would not believe how many times I have heard that someone just isn't "cut from the same cloth" as it relates to suitability for a relationship.

Good question. I would like to know this as well.
Though, most of my Nigerian friends here in the States are in Nigerian relationships.
The few that I have that are in Toronto and London are dating out.
My conclusion was that it had to do with locale and whether there was a strong local black culture in place that promotes black relationships.

I will say though, 100% of my Nigerian friends have pawged. But who hasn't?

This is the equivalent of when White people in the US say “let’s all just be American”...they say that because they don’t want to respect your differences. The only time Nigerians have cohesion is when they are in a foreign land talking to someone they deem to be an outsider. Nigerian people in the US be all on that Nigerian pride bullshyt to AAs because they know the average AA doesn’t know the difference between an Igbo, Hausa, Fulani, or Yoruba. But when they are talking to another person they consider to be an insider to the culture then all the prejudice and animosity they have for one another rears its ugly head. That’s why splitting that land up is beneficial...Nigeria as a construct does not respect the classical African geographic and ethnic boundaries. A White man basically came and put crips and bloods in one house not understanding and not respecting the history behind the two gangs. Now they are fighting every day and people are like:

:yeshrug: “I don’t see why they can’t get along they’re both gangs right?” Then some c00n in the house stands up and says “let’s just all be Crips and call it a day” and the Bloods are like

:hhh:

Interesting that you bring up Canada. I used to hear the stereotype of Caribbean men and white women. I didn't see this with my own eyes with Haitian Americans....and I lived in a metro area with a HUGE Haitian diaspora. But in Montreal? Whatttttt? Never seen more white chasing Negroes(and Negro-ettes)in my life I made the joke here before about having to place calls and ask questions now when I get invited to a wedding in Montreal . I am not traveling for all that .

And you are below a rat. My Hausa gateman will always refuse you entry. You struggle for simple garri.

Your frustration is my joy
:mjlol:

In fact, you are not even Igbo. I’ve never seen you comment on Nigerian affairs. You’re probably a cac troll.

:russell: You are a frustrated refugee who is obsessed with Nigeria.
