Aww man, that Tyc00n shyt by Mac Dre was soooo tough. The first time I heard it was at Ambassador and damn, men and women alike used to go so dumb to those songs, plus Im On One by The Team. ambassador was ghetto fab at its finest.

Where do hood nikkas party now? I remember @17th, Arsimona, zazoo's, and Jeffry's begging the spots thru about 07, but three of those are closed and one doesn't pop like that, I'm like where are the classic hood clubs now?

A lot of clubs have been gettin shut down (hood clubs) 330 ritch is shut down. Nyggaz had a shootout a few weeks ago and the police shut it down for good. Mingles in the town doesn't crack anymore. I don't know about Air lounge, but I kno it used to crack yrs back.

Now Motif in SJ, sometimes Agenda. Impala in frisco, Atmosphere, Temple or some nights at Manor West in Frisco. But fools have been actin up so much latley that its sometimes hard for promoters to book parties.

But these days any party that Rick Lee, Mind Motion or Big Vaugn throw is gonna be lit. The ratcheds come out in droves for them!

Ghost ride it, mistah fab. Thing is, dude could easily be on his backpack shyt, but he chose to go the hyphy route which killed his career and made him unviable in other genres

This is not a shock post..I listen to hella bay music..like 90s stuff when E40 was decent..mr flamboyant, federal, the mail man, in a major way..all that old keak stuff, bad n fluenz etc..any old skool bay cat who knows will agree with me..we didn't like HYPHY..shyt was stupid..

Hyphy was absolutely terrible, but I can at least say those beats on any system slapped harder than NY Drill.

Hyphy was the worst time in hip hop IMO..even worse than Crunk..It was a total embarrassment to the bay. What was the worst part is that I had respect for E40(even tho he fell off in the late 90s) and Keak da sneak (even tho he also fell off in 2002, but for them to start making HYPHY music rapping over shytty fruity loop beats made me feel ashamed. It seems like every one was on the HYPHY bandwagon and 99% couldn't rap at all..mistah fab was the wackest of course. Even tho I haven't listened to the radio in 1996, I was forced to hear HYPHY music playing out of brother's bedroom full blast when I was living at my moms house for a minute. I can never forgive any rapper for jumping on the HYPHY bandwagon just to make a quick local hit..that's why I respect Del, the living legends and other artists that make real hip hop for keeping it true and not falling for the ignorance..
