I felt the same as y'all about dude playing RZA. I think the dialog was there, but I just thought the way he was delivering it was off. But the actor was pretty much the same character in everything he played in, up to that point. Even if they wanted to show RZA as quiet, soft spoken, reluctant leader back then, the dude doesn't have that gravitas the RZA naturally had/has. Ghost actor didn't sound like him, but you could see Ghost as the show went on. Shameik was killing it as Rae, bull playing Divine had Divine perfectly. TJ Atoms as Dirt - the same. You felt their presence on screen. Hell, even Power. There's no way y'all got everyone right, except RZA.

It's gonna be interesting to see Uey.

Even RZA ain't really feeling dude's portrayal of him. He was on the Big Boy radio show and they asked him how he feels about how breh is portraying him and Rizz was on some :patrice:

He then went on to say that his wife told him the kid's doing a good job :manny:

I feel like most y'all feel: dude sucks. Joey Badass shoulda been RZA.

Crazy thing is RZA hand picked the young breh and he didn’t even have to audition :skip:

I just read that RZA actually told him not be play it authoritatively because he grew into the role of being the leader and he didn’t start as the leader. So it actually makes a bit more sense why he played it like that. 2nd season will be a good watch and interesting to see if they expand on his leadership.

thinking back though I hope they have more ODB in the next season. The dude playing him was killing it and deserves more shine

Thats crazy because every interview or article i’ve ever read with EVERY MEMBER including hating ass U-God they all say RZA was the leader early on and that it was because of his talent and personality that they felt comfortable following his lead

Must've been a dramatic change from when he started reading and studying 5% knowledge before and during the making of 36 Chambers

The time sequences in the show are not always right & exact! RZA had began studying before he put out his first solo record hence the name change to Prince Rakeem Allah!

Just-Ice also said he never got into the confrontation with RZA that they showed!

Peace

I agree with you that RZA definitely had more leadership than they showing, but at the same time I think the timeline of the show is really messed up so perhaps the intention is to show the growth into that role. I mean they ain’t even show the clan meeting at RZAs and watching Kung fu flicks and shyt like they have all talked about. And on 36 chambers they said RZA was the backbone and GZA was the head. GZA barely even been on the show except for his own record deal shyt and occasionally hanging out
