Dems have never tried to make Mitch polarizing. That is what Dems need to do. Make people angry at Mitch.
Steve King, previously Michelle Bachmann, Ted Cruz, Devin Nunez, Jim Jordan, Matt Gaetz ... the list of despicable Republicans is endless and can be used to attack them in many ways. But Democrats never do it.
Before the election every single poll I've seen was heavily in favor of BLM and protests against police brutality. After the election Democrats themselves get on a call, leak to the media and then go on a media campaign against "Defund the Police"
Democrats themselves are fanning the flames on "Defund the Police" messaging, they have made it a bigger story than it is in order to shift the blame for their losses. They're more than willing to concede the big picture narrative to Republicans just to save their asses.
On the other hand every time there is a Republican scandal (Trump says the troops are losers/suckers, Republican governor body slams a reporter, Republican rep. calls AOC a fukking bytch, stock sell offs and other mass corruption, etc) all Republican politicians do is say "I haven't read that story", "I haven't seen the full quote", "That looks concerning" and walk away. Meanwhile Democrats got their mouth full with defund the police they can't focus on stimulus messaging.
"Mitch McConnell is stopping you from getting money."
That's it, and they won't do it because they still want to be friends with McConnell, even after all of his bad behavior.
Even liability protection is easy enough to grasp for general public but FREE MONEY is the easiest pitch of all time.
