A socialist mayor will install social programs and spearhead infrastructure in that city for it's citizens to use. For example the socialist mayors in Milwaukee created the first city parks, public housing and bus systems for the city. One of them built Milwaukee's first water treatment facility and helped developed the city's first freeweay system.
