He and Manchin still think these dudes are worth saving. That they’ll come around seeing the Dems leading and reform their own party.
Most people on the burn it down and let something else take it’s place.
We got fukked up. It took me two hours to get home from work. Freeway lookin like walking dead with cars abandoned everywhere.
Biden is a moderate. He's going to support moderates. No need to overthink it. He isn't here for sweeping changes.
The sooner people accept who he is the easier it will be to digest his politics.

Moderate politics has nothing to do with one party literally having no policy or interest in legislative achievements. A GOP with conservative and moderate goals would be a step up from what they are doing.
Trump literally copy and pasted his 2016 platform and nobody said anything.
Biden thinks these dudes are going back to preTrump when he’s just their party laid bare.
The GOP preached American exceptionalism. They believe the country is already good.
But that's really irrelevant to what we're seeing here. The democratic party as a whole didn't have a major shift to the left despite what people have been trying to force as being a truth.
The democrats are still negotiating with themselves at the end of the day moreso than courting Republicans.

MAGA is the exact opposite of exceptionalism. They have no center. The idea that something went wrong is closer to what they’ve been preaching.
There’s never been a far left in America. We’ve had Socialist tendencies but a sustained European left is not what our political landscape looks like.
The Dems are negotiating with themselves cause like I said there is no other side to negotiate with.
The heyday Republicans love to talk up (50s-80s) were Democrat majorities in Congress. The Dems could afford to lose and gain Republicans and Dems.
They were happy with accomplishing nothing legislatively for four years.

House progressives ain’t gonna do shyt. They’ve been weak this term. They have not wielded any power.
I would not vote for the stand-alone bill unless there are public assurances from the milquetoast crowd that they will support the reconciliation package w/ the progressive initiatives included. Watching AOC, this morning I can see why you are disappointed. She did not spell this out firmly in her appearance on MTP.
Manchin already saying he's going to be restrained w/ reconcilation.
