The covid relief was weakened ($15 min wage) for "bipartisanship" then not 1 Republican voted for it in the Senate.
Infrastructure started at 2.2 trillion, Repubs say 800 bil which they have no intention of sticking to. Will probably end up at 1.2 trillion and pass with with zero Repub support. Just pass the 2.2 plan and live or die on it
It's a dog and pony show.
15/hr was taken out because the parliamentarian said it didn't meet the rules for budget reconciliation, not for Bipartisanship reasons, but it passed.
Infrastructure hasn't come to a vote yet. Hard to say what the overall package will look like, but if I recall the price went down but much of the so called "pork" is still in the bill. Either way, it hasn't. Come up for a vote.
Which was my point in the beginning. What bills aren't passing because of Dems.
Even if you nuked the filibuster the proposed and final bills will change.
We saw that even with the Republican tax cuts under Trump.
End of the day, as long as he passes major initiatives that improve the lives of Americans I'm not going to be pretend to outraged because it isn't perfect.
