You want to reduce mass shootings then ban assault weapons for public consumption outright.. Make it they are only to be made for military and law enforcement use only… the existing assault weapons in the public domain make them illegal and trace all of them back to the owners and have the ATF go collect them.. Mass shootings will go down immediately
You have no idea how bad this will backfire. Think Cliven Bundy times 100. Might be more than cacs at that point. Many will die.

Ok cool.. Ban all assault weapons from civilian purchase and bullets.. Only law enforcement and military are to have access to those weapons… Once that happens gun manufacturers can only sell those assault weapons and ammo to law enforcement agencies and military or foreign governments for their military and police use..

Now civilians with those assault weapons wont be able to use them because they can’t get any ammo or parts for it.. They will be rendered useless

Not a bad idea, but people already make their own ammo. That would create a black market. Making ammo isn't even hard, you just have to care enough to do it, and buy some equipment.

And you can 3D print guns and gun parts already.

You do realize the thing you're calling an assault rifle is the same thing as a 1911 or 9mm glock?

So you're basically saying noone can have anything except a revolver or range rifle or shot gun

Yeah and no… You cannot 3d print the lower receiver on a ar-15 because a 3d printed receiver is not tolerant of the extreme heat an AR or M4 rifle produces.. You need special materials that will tolerate the heat..

Don’t play stupid bro I specifically assault weapons or let me dumb it down assault rifles not automatic handguns… now to answer the last part of your question yes the only guns civilians should possess is handguns, hunting rifles and shotguns… Why do civilians need AR-15s and M4’s?

If so, lower receivers become really valuable, and the black market extends to gunsmiths capable of making and fixing them. It's too late here. Guns are too ingrained and saturated in America. All you would do is give organized crime a new revenue stream.

Noone has sutomatic handguns

And plenty of ppl decided to have an AR 11million of them are in circulation and ppl use them for hunting and varmint control

Again seems to me since you're using incorrect terminology and making presumptions about what ppl need and don't need ...

Probably why what you're proposing sounds so ridiculous

You don't know what you're talking about when it comes to guns ( obviously ) and this is why so many ppl who propose controls- how are you gonna make proposals about what other ppl need when you don't even make the effort to learn about the thing you want to regulate more

The lower receiver doesn't have to tolerate any heat or pressure - its a lower receiver - the the heat and pressure occurs in the upper which you can put together easily from parts you can buy anywhere online or at gun shops

Republican Congressman just went rogue

And.....he's already been bushed. It wasn't even a vote on legislation - simply voicing the opinion, directly after a mass shooting in his own city, was too much for them.

This perfectly illustrates why we might as well just forget about Congress ever passing anything on gun control. The GOP base is just too extreme.

Unfortunately we’ve had human bombs going off for decades taking thousands of lives. The only solution is to get rid of all the bombs.

Ban all automatic weapons ASAP.

At this point we are all backed into a corner. Get you a gun. You may need it one day.
