I never understand the responses from women in these types of threads, I can only guess it's because none of the women here have ever actually lived with a man.

You split everything evenly, period. All this "I'll pay significantly less cause I hold down the house by cooking and cleaning :troll:" is for the birds, this is 2017 both partners can cook and clean. :camby:

I don't care if you rent or not, I didn't even ask. I don't even care about your opinion on this, but you clearly care about mine. I replied to op and you quoted me first, as usual with mess.

There are plenty of men who don't mind or prefer to pay for majority of things and let their wives handle the small bills or no bills at all and just cook and clean. Especially if that man knows he makes more than his wife/gf. Just because you are not one of the preferred type of man, doesn't mean they don't exist.

As I said in my last post. If you can find someone to play roommate, good for you. I don't really care. Do what you want with whoever will allow it, and I will do the same. :queen:
You came in here with bullshyt...and looks like you're sticking with it....you are young and don't really know shyt....so good luck...:lolbron:...

They act like they gonna be paying for all the groceries :gucci:

& can clean after myself :dame:

The groceries are included in the "everything else". It makes sense for her to buy the groceries if she's going to be cooking and he's going to be paying the big bills. If y'all are splitting things 50/50 though, I guess you'd go out and buy your own groceries and cook your own food, which makes no sense to me.
Get a non-western woman and you dont have to worry bout this bullshyt :mjpls:

They are traditional, so the man would be paying for everything.

The correct answer is:

It's circumstantial.

It simply depends on the mutual understanding both parties agreed upon before they we're in the relationship. So if you're involved with a S/O who understood that both of you preferred to live out a more traditional man/woman relationship dynamic - then you'll have to pay at least the majority of it or maybe all of it because you're the man (aka the provider). On the other hand, if you and your S/O subscribe to a more modern idea of a relationship where you both build together, respect each other's role as equals and as self-sufficient individuals before you both met, then you'll likely pay half or whatever you & your woman agree that is fair.

All of that is also involved in relationships where the male pays for majority of things.

So you think groceries, internet, cable, utilities, you gonna be paying $450? :jbhmm:

If you down with paying all of that, I'll gladly pay all the rent :skip:

In my household, rent is paid prorated to our incomes and I pay for the majority of our outings and dinners. In turn my woman does most of the cooking and laundry. We split up cleaning.

I'd say whatever works for the couple in that they feel like their needs are being met and both are contributing so that there's no resentment then that's the arrangement that they should go with.

Nope. What he pays is going to be much more than what I pay is what I'm saying, bc he is going to be making way more than I do.
